I wanted to build something steampunky, but already, I'm limited with the available bricks...
(great, no brownish parts)... But I can't let an idea slip away. Anyway, I put together
this steam-powered monster truck with a slight touch of medieval.
About this creation
This is Bubba.
We do not have a steampunk pilot so we settled for a Mars Mission veteran who was recently layed off. He seems to fit the bill - gruff-looking, space suit in place of pilot outfit, painted-on flight goggles...
Bubba: "How do you get on this behemoth?!?"
Bubba: "Great. No ladder... &%@#$@!!!"
Bubba: "... and how do you turn it on? This thing better fly."
It appears our driver is a bit P.O.'ed. Oh well...
*** A WALK AROUND THE FORTRESS TRUCK ***
Behind the driver are two huge boilers.
Vertical trusses hold up the heavy and bulky steam engine system in the rear.
*** A CLOSER LOOK ***
The cockpit - 3 steering wheels and way too much gauges and indicators.
I was scrolling through the pictures, when the compact steam turbine screamed "Ingenious part usage!" I love the way you've included all the different parts of a steam engine, it really adds to the realism. Besides, who doesn't want to drive a monster truck with three steering wheels! ;)
Oh waw! that's one weird creation in a very cool way, I agree with the comment below; an unusual part usage over here, great steering system, great cabin, great details all over... all in all really a fantastic creation... very well done. BTW thanks a lot for ALL your nice comments and compliments; its very much appreciated, and yes..having a little race wouldn't kill ;)
