About this creation
The storyline with Lego Twp was that it was starting anew, reincorporating into a new town with a new name and form of government. A huge undertaking. A new FD was formed and some old worn down firehouses were was the case with Station 4. Station 4 started out as a single bay, old school firehouse. I liked it a lot. It had character. It looked like something from the 1920's. But, as with old firehouses back then, it was small.

The old 4-wide engine had no problem fitting in there. the first 6wide fit, but due to the arch ways, the rear had to be low....especially the rear warning lights.

When it was time for a new Engine 4, I thought I could get away with making it higher....and I did. The problem now was the engine was too long for the firehouse. So, the search was on. I could not find anything. I saw that a department in the midwest built 2 of the exact same firehoues for their department. So I thoght I'd try something like that. A new Station 5 was already built for the LTFD. I decided to modify the colors, turn it around and lose one bay. The reuslt is the current Station 4:

The old building remains one of my favorites of Lego Twp's earlier years.
