This is my first attempt at building a large minifig scale space battleship. It is 210 studs long and took me 3 months to build. sorry for the bad background and dull lighting, that will change on all my new mocs to come
This is an amazing work of art!!!!! you really should join the COP (coalition of planets) to show off the ship. you can have a lot of fun there and we will all put comments for your ships and vehicles! Its all good fun in the COP! please join.
Wow Nice, really nice! HUGE! I like this spaceship alot! How big is it? I started a new group called 'Only BIG spaceships' and you just might qualify! If the spaceship is over 3 feet ( at least 114 studs) in any dimension, or bigger I just might add you. Can anyone recommend builders that have huge spaceships too? E-mail me at email@example.com, or if your on Myspace, myspace.com/zvr Have fun now, Zac
This is the singularly best lego ANYTHING I have ever seen! Like you can't any better then making a battle-cruiser, like a frikin starship, in minfig-scale! with actual rooms on the inside, this is PERFECTION!
typo in the post under me, i belive the year is 2007, not 1007 -.^ anywho, dont worry about the pictures quality TOO much, i mean, as long as its not 20 pixels (ive seen it before, on this site) then you good, but keep it up and awesome ship! -Yotian (MOC of the day, 12-16-07)
Another fantastic large scale MOC! It's interesting to see this one compared to your more recent SUPERHAWK. While this is an excellent creation, I think you've improved your detail work since. I'd love to see you take the time to put your pics into photoshop and adjust the backgrounds and lighting. Your work is superb, and even the most recent SUPERHAWK pics don't do your work justice. Anyway, great job on this one as well!
BAM!!! My jaw just dropped and hit the floor :o
Dude, if this is your FIRST MOC,imagine what it will look like in 5 years! I don't know ANYONE who would give this less than a 5. SCORP REVEIWED!? This is BRILLIANT! I love this (and the CAPS LOCK) You did an excelent job on this.
Great work man... Again, why could anyone rate this lower than 5 stars??? Any model builder who respects his own work should respect the amount of time, plaisure, satisfaction and details noticable here. Anyway, I'd enrole like, right now, for a deep space mission on this fierce battleship... Congratulations!
After looking through the whole site, Im getting the feeling that you pwn in brickwars. Also, the computers seem a bit randomly placed, but if I took off any points because of that I'd be lynched (I'd probably help them myself). But all and all, amazing work. Look forward to me stealing your designs in the near future.
I seemed to notice a lack of bathrooms. I see beds, but no bathroom, and no kitchen was shown. Clearly, as shown by the beds, this is a ship that goes for awhile on its own. Therefore, at least a bathroom is needed.
i dont know what else i could say that hasnt already been said, but ill try. first, i love to see originality. its something in very short supply on this site. still, one notices the resemblance to the Maddox, but you were able to be creative and make it your own. the attention to detail is great, and really helps make the ship come alive. keep at it. we need more people like you.
really good, one of the best I have seen. you surlly need a better presentation! by the way, if you dont already know Zemi.net/shipyard, go to that place and submit your ship, it is a place just for 100 studs and over ships.
You know, if only you made a better background and better guns, this thing would be worth in my opinion, the honor that I would give Dan Jassim, or somebody of his respect. But otherwise, I can only say this, "*Jaw Drops*"
At last, a good creation. Better than my "first" attempt at a large scale ship.
That thing rocks, this is a great first try.
This is a great ship; you can definitely see the influences of Ed Diment and the USS Maddox, but the photography does not do the ship justice. I use a couple of overhead fluorescent tubes, but Dan Jassim would know a lot more about lighting big ships than me. Also, your photos are 640x480 pixels. I know it gets really annoying when people submit >3000x2000 pixel images without resizing them, but you really need 800x600 to show any detail, and I think most peoples' monitors can handle that. With a ship this big, it could be justified to go to 1024x768 for the sake of detail.
Hey CHris! THis is your best MOC yet! Very unique contruction on the engines and a very clean look overall. Something that is quite hard to do with big ships like that. Since it's so majestic, it really needs a good name.
(by the way, thanks for reviewing my FIrestorm Type R five seconds after I posted it :)
