With dark turquoise on the starboard side, orange on the port side, and a hint of purple, this Rainbowtron fighter strikes bright and colorful fear into the heart of its nemesis, Alphatron. Visit this group if you don't know what I'm talking about. I would have liked the canopy to be a different color than trans-black, but I also wanted to use the windscreen from the Magna Guard Starfighter set which doesn't come in any other color. This one was almost the main picture.

Top view. Yeah I know there's not very much purple on it, but that's because I don't have a lot of it in my collection. But then again, neither does anybody.
This time without the pilot.
It's piloted by a standard Rainbowtron minifig. The torso is from this set.
I will ignore the snide, bigoted, and political comment on Prop 8, as it has no place on this comment page (not to mention that it was an even cheaper shot than a foreign object delivered by a heel to a babyface in a wrestling match) and get to commenting on the space craft design. I actually like the design of the space craft. It resembles something along the lines of the new Mars Mission theme, which is not a bad thing. It is a good design and I guess I am not the only one that designs multi-colored space craft. Also, contrary to the people that claim some sort of hate-filled speech as legitimate in life, I tend to think that the Rainbowtron people are just simply not all that rich and that they get their parts from discarded and junked space vehicles and they just rebuild new space craft from scratch.
Sweet !!! First the color scheme is perfect for the theme, and the shape is really beautiful, it has something from a bird, and also a fish, which is a great combination for any ship and especially a little one. Now I really got to do a Rainbowtron... Well done, Nate !!!
I really like this, obviously. The teal and orange sides are oh so nice and the purple, though scant, is a nice touch. I like the front hull design! This is a beautiful addition to the Rainbowtron fleet!
It's hard to make a fighter look good from all angles or views but you really pull it off here. Very clever techniques and use of parts, and an exciting theme/storyline. If I can come up with something good enough I might join the group...
You know, after making a Rainbowtron fighter, Kelso's going to be looking for a rainbowtron flag to go with it. I'll let you figure out the joke there. Great ship Nate! Despite the joke, the color work is just fabulous... ~ Chris.
