First of all, I'd like to say how very terribly sorry, ashamed, and, if I dare, sad I am to post this entry so late. Now, I could write a super long apology to the good misters Sebeus, Shaddix, and Luse, but that would just get them even more ticked off, eh? (Especially those Hobbits, they can throw a punch, I've heard.) So, forgetting my eradication of cheesiness within my domain of pathetic ramblings and buildings, without further ado (adieu?), I present:
DEEP SPACE TEN
From the depths of space came a ship... a glorious ship, of sleek lines and bright color... designed in the heart of the galaxy, for interstellar travel... trekking across the Universe, a pantheon of mechanics, engineering, and design...
Masking the bright stars behind it, The Ship came into view in the distance. Weary, the entire Village crept out of their houses to gaze at the majestic ship. In awe they stood, their eyes wide and their hearts full, while the ship gracefully landed on the grassy plains around the settlement.
The boarding ramp hissed open, and out came The Strangers. They brought with them gifts of glory and riches... and while doing so, humbling the Village to see such stoic Creatures of the Sky bring such joy, with such pride.
This was the nature of the Creatures. They did only good, and forgave the bad, if acceptable. From a pure place they had come, from a pure place of peace and love. They looked on others not as better or worse, but as equals, and treated them so. They looked to themselves for strength, but to others for inspiration and hope. And from this grew an empire... a legend... an era... another way of living, and to live longer, they said, you must want others to do the same.
This is what the Villagers saw, lived, and loved. This is what they passed on, and this ship is the emblem of their culture.
Okay, now that my cruddy writing has filled up the cheesy limit for this creation, I continue on, with some pictures and commentary...
Here we go!
Wouldn't it be fun to be a Clingon in this position? I thought not.
Hmmm... those slopes were from Harry Potter sets... maybe Harry actually stole all those time-turners from the Ministry of Magic...
You're Austin Powers, and this is not Deep Space Ten, this is Goldmember.
The bridge. You know, where all the controls and stuff are.
I like the texture that I got here.
Must I explain?
And here's a link to my competitor's and friend's MOC...

Hey if you can try to do the Ye Olde Castle Group contest if you can
Ahh so many memories in these MOC-off MOCs of ours :)
I'll try, Tristan. I may have to quickly finish up my entry for The Castle Contest, because that's taking up most of my green pieces. I'll try to enter. :D

Well, yeah. So my voting is a day late. Seeing as how this entry is pretty late too, I figured that everyone would just let it slide. I really like the shape of this ship and the microscale is a nice touch. Some contrasting colors would make this stand out nicely, but that might have been hard to accomplish with the small scale of this MOC. Your photography is much better, clearer and more detailed shots really compliment this. Keep your backdrop in mind for next time. You built a white ship and used a white backdrop for it - your MOC gets washed out and is a little hard to see. A darker (maybe black) backdrop would have made this baby shine! Regardless of all that I just said, it comes down to this one bottom line... You have my vote. Good job sweeping round 2! ~dave
