Shootout in the Streets: UNE Spec. Ops. Contest Entry
Nothing like a good post-apocalyptic-looking dio to brighten the day.
About this creation
Ok, so here's my entry for the UNE Spec. Ops. contest.

I lack the pieces to make a full man minifig squad, so the story behind the dio here is the four of them are all that's left of the squad.
More on the infantry later. Oh, I have ONE white helmet so the clone troopers are standing in as the COP troopers. They look a lot like that anyhow, so who cares.

View of the UNE's side of the street.

Here's a shot over the shoulder of the gunner on the broken rooftops.

Behind the shattered wall, this clone troo-um COP trooper had doubts about fighting back.
"Oh God, I'm gonna end up like that guy splattered on the pavement."
You bet he will.

COP side of the street.

The UNE team is fighting hard.

Inside the destroyed building. I have no idea why this picture is so bright. I didn't use the flash so don't ask.

COP side with no figs.

Broken rooftop where the gunner was firing from.

A shot of the squad leader taking cover. Why purple? You'll find out.

The whole squad, well, sort of. UNE Spec. Ops. teams consist of 6 men:
3 standard troops (Far left. Highly trained and deadly, they make up the majority of the team.)
1 Squad leader (Inner Left. They wear purple to be identified in the field. They are selected based on how well they can handle pressure and high stress situations.)
1 Commander (Inner Right. Protected by heavy armor, the commander is the one who radios the base to call for support.)
1 APH-5 Stealth Variant Hardsuit Unit (Far Right. Carrying the heavier weapons, the hardsuit unit can be the Anti-Armor, Sniper, or Point Man unit of the squad) Here's the link to the page for that:

Carrying silenced, high-precision rifles and machine guns, the UNE spec. ops. are deployed in situations where places are needed to be taken by force or covertly. Masters of stealth and sabotage, these men are trained to control breathing (almost as much as snipers) and movements to take threats out quietly and efficiently.

Required By the contest, I had to make one variant for another environment. Here are the Desert Ops. troops.

Another overview of the squad.

Here's a stealthy little scout chopper. I wanted to incorporate it into the vig, but it didn't happen.

Side view. I love this thing, it's very sleek.

Tail greebles.

Blades. I wanted to go studless, but it didn't look as good. I also like the uneven look of the blades.

Blades spinning

Pilot with his equipment standing next to the open cockpit.

Ok, get to judging.
