Somewhere out there in the vast nothingness of space, a frightening discovery is made aboard the NSR Battle Cruiser Andromeda.
About this creation
"The NSR (or New Space Reich) lost contact with the battle cruiser Andromeda a little over 2 light years ago. Since the vessel was exploring an uncharted sector of space, whatever they had mapped or come across was vital to our database and to the progression of our space colonies. As a trained veteran in both military, technological, and scientific affairs, I was naturaly chosen to find the ship and bring her and her crew home. However no training could have prepared me for the frightening discovery I have just made. The ship is in utter ruins- the crew are all dead and seemingly infected with some sort of unknown agent that turns their skin tone a dull green. Scouting out the lower hull of the ship so far has produced various wall murals written in blood. The most disturbing of which I have just found in one of the hangars spelling out 'RUN'. Why RUN? The quietness is so eerie; all I can hear is my breath within my hardsuit. My god, what has happened here..."
The crashed starfighter through the hangar door used the neat lego net technique. Sebeus I is the first person to use this technique I believe. Basically you take tiles and put them on one side of the net, then attach 1x1 round studs on the other-side, and finally attach some 1x2 or bigger bricks behind the round stud. By giving it the staggering effect you reinforce the tile plates, yet at the same time allow mobility to position them as you wish.
An infected pilot can also be seen inside the fighter.
The H-5 marking on the hangar door was created to represent 'Hangar 5', but it was also created as an allusion to the 'deadly' H5-N1 virus.
A dead/infected/cargo crushed crew member.

Side view 2.
An infected crew member who was seemingly chained and thrown-over the catwalk railing.
Another infected crew member atop the catwalk.
Catwalk door with wall greebling. I tiled the doors like this to give it a more metallic texture.
Another view of the catwalk. Note the trail of blood.
Some sort of reactor with electricity running up and down the side. Build by jamming in clone war helmet antennas within the round 4x4 bricks.
This specific spot uses a wide variety of techniques such as snot, the archway/cylindar effect, etc. Check other side-view pics to see how bricks are off-set and slanted.
Top shot of the whole bignette. You can see the trail of blood more clearly here.
It's a bad blurry picture, but here's another shot of some wall greebles on the lower level.
The dead/infected crew along with the nameless scout in his hardsuit. I really liked this hardsuit as well as the gun running up his right arm.
Cargo crates! They can be colorful and interestingly shaped too! I used a lot of studded 1x1 and grill plates to create these.
The crashed and incomplete starfighter. I may finish it, I may not. First time I've tried this type of Peter Morris fighter technique. Complete with zombie pilot upon purchase.
Yes, I am aware that I used the term light-years to describe time, and no I am not ignorant, I did this on purpose. Time is only a state of mind and is constantly changing as we learn more about the universe. Lego Post Apocaspace or Space Zombies is a very fun theme that I'm going to continue to play around with, and encourage you to do so as well. This may be part 1 of a 3 part series.

Great detail on the blood trail, writing, everything. Good storytelling too, my heart is pounding from it. It is almost like Dark Base.

AWSOME and uh..... AWSOME again this thing is amazing the blood on the wall is the best part "HELTER SKELTER" might also fit but then again some people could get offended by that maybe you could have that song playing in the back round or some thing.
This comment was written for multiple posts so please excuse the non specific nature of it. You (or your Lego creation) has been nominated for a MOCie award this year. If you would like to write an acceptance speech in the event that you win, please feel free to do so and email it to me at email@example.com. If you win, your acceptance speech will be used in the awards ceremony post due out sometime in June. If you are nominated for multiple entries, please be sure to write a response for each entry. Please check this link http://mocpages.com/group_conversation.php?id=11182&topicid=50162 to see if you’ve been nominated for more than one category. Thanks and good luck! ~ Chris.
Excellent layout of tiles, seamless finish on all surfaces
Thanks for sharing the "stagger effect" technique. Just wondering if you know where can I find a reference for more building techniques such as those you mentioned (snot, the archway/cylindar effect, etc) ?
that is most definetely one of the best vigs i have every seen and commented on!!!!! it is probably more detailed than most stuff on MOC and i luv it!!!!! oh and please check out some of my stuff. (congratz on MOTD)
that is the most awesome thing I have seen here on MOCpages!!!! I love it!!!!! the "RUN" thing is a good idea and so is the net. I tried it myself and it is harder than it looks. Anyway great Job and keep it up!!!!
(p.s. the trail of blood on the bridge thing makes you wonder what happened on the other side of the door....)
Very cool! The different techniques you used were great. The cargo net for the crashed wall is really clever. I've practised a little greebling in my Jedi vs. Flamethrowers Droids vig I built, but nothing even close to this. Great work, can't wait for part 2!
Woah thats awesome! one of the creepiest MOCs I've seen. I like 'RUN' written on the wall.
U'd be very welcome to join my group: the L.R.E. (last resistance of earth). It's part of the U.N.E./C.O.P. war:http://www.mocpages.com/group.php/5340
I love it :D, the detail is amazing, and the "RUN" On the wall is a great idea. The title Reminds me of the song "Slam" by pendulum xD

Lots going on in this dio. The note in blood is my favorite part. Thanks for detailing the net trick on the door. the link to the source was also very helpful. It's a really good idea which would never have occured to me. Attack!
Quoting Unknown Builder
Thats amazing! But one question, how long did that take? By the way, I love the blood trail on the catwalk.
Build time? I actually built it fairly quickly for the amount of detail I added. I had to snap the bricks together over the course of two short days to finish it for an AZLUG meeting. Build time was about 14-18 hours if I remember right. The key to building is to try to spread your larger creations over the course of a few days rather than trying to tackle them all at once. This keeps your attention on the project, and allows you to play around with different concepts/ideas.
Quoting Pile Driver
Awesome scene you made there, btw what started it all?
I had the idea of Space Zombies/apocaspace and really wanted to go from there. My first few ideas were building around the 'Run' on the wall, as well as the starfigher crashed through the hangar. And yes Goldman, and Dead Space were slight influences ;)
For the first five minutes of looking at this, I thought I was looking at a little known Keith Goldman creation, and I was puzzled at the lack of irreverant smack. Then I saw that this was yours. Top notch, all the way 'round.
Very very cool. I'm surprised I missed this but the two things that caught my eye the most were the starfighter crashing through the wall (which is VERY well done and looks as realistic as it can get) and the blood written on the wall, which is also very eerie, but a detail which adds a lot to the whole overall setting. Again, very nice.
this is excellent has that dark feel of deadspace or Alien. but at the same time is completely original. i also love your building techniques and the way you use SNOT. i will have to try out some of those techniques sometime. i would like to think i learned something from this moc. great job.
Wow...simply woah....so much Detail its so prettyfull also abit scary...with the wors run in blood on the walls ...wow your a true lego master btw it kind of reminds me of dead space haha lol apocaspace thats awesome.. Excellent job :D
Man, this really is excellent. It's creepy, and futuristic. It kinda reminds me of the Aliens movies, except much better! I like the method you used to make the wrecked wall, and I might use some of those cargo crate designs sometime. Good job!
WWWWWOOOOOWWWWW. this moc has alot of details packed into the walls and floors. hmmmm.... space zombies? like dead space! really makes me think whats behind that door on the catwalk... H5-N1? is that a reaction to radiation? zombies? xenomorphs? spongebob? sour milk? cant wait until part 2! :) i rate this...
INF. OUT OF 5!
I saw this on TBB and I was just waiting for you to post it on MOCpages so i could leave a comment! This is definitely one of your finest, and that's saying a lot ;) It is so creepy and eerie, in a good way. And this is Part I? Yes! Now I can wait for Part II! Great job!
This is one of the best MOCs I've ever seen. You depicted the creepy feeling very well! The trail of blood is great, and that crashed starfighter using Sebeus' net technique...Outstanding. Overall a great MOC!! EDIT:Sorry totally forgot about the S.N.O.T Letters saying RUN. Great SNOTty wall.
Brilliant job! First of all the detail is incredible. I've never seen a word written in blood with legos. It gives your moc a creepy feeling... that's positive ;). The story is also very good, I'd like to see a part 2! ~M
