A medium walker in the Zalmoxis Mech Division.
About this creation
MOC Background:

I had this on WIP mode for months. I had made little progress for several weeks, then recently, I worked up the initiative to finish it in 2 hours. It's gone through drastic redesigns, and several additions. In my opinion, this is probably my best mech yet. The head was the most difficult part. Ignore the stand in some pics, it can stand without it, but I didn't want to take any chances.

Mech Background:

The Heavy Assualt Weaponized Tactical Walker, or HAWT Walker, is the newest addition to the Mech Division of the Zalmoxis Military Directorate. It requires an elevator or stairs to reach the cockpit. Various field tests have shown the leg boosters have come in handy for charginf or escaping. However, the large head has limited maneuverability. Just like all the mechs in the ZMD, this mech has an interchangeable array of weapons.

Class: MW-28 Mk1 Zalmoxis Mech Division Walker
Height: 36 Studs
Width (Left to Right): 20 Studs
Width (Back to Front): 18 Studs

Primary Armaments:
16 Crescent Ground-to-Air Missiles
2 Light Pulse Turrents
1 Medium Chin-Mounted Machine Gun

Secondary Armaments:
(Rail Gun, Heavy Machine Gun, and Dual-Barrel Pulse Cannon shown)

Remnant Arm MOC Background:

The MW-28 Mk1 is one of four new walkers added to the Zalmoxis Mech Division this year. It is a medium walker, meaning it has a fairly good balance of weapons and maneuverability. The mech was created to counter the surprising power of the Outer Colonial Militia's contracted Walker Division. It is a favorite of mech pilots, due to its powerful boost jets mounted on the legs. It replaced the aging Sasquatch as the difficult-terrain walker.

Weird negative image. I dont think I like this edit-job much anymore.

Standing with its angled legs. Now that I look at it after Scorp's suggestion, it could use some beefed up arms.

Those orange 1x1s have been replaced with grey 1x1 cylinders, giving it a better look.

The legs and the stand. The walker can stay up without the stand, but I didn't want to risk it while taking pictures.

The chest has two signal lights which are used to gain the attention of others while in the dark.

The side gives a good view of the leg SNOT.

Excellent shot of the leg booster jets. YOu can also see the joint pieces I used from the AT-AT.

   The greeblicious rear hatch.

This shows a small ladder used mainly for maintenence.

The interior of the cockpit. In correspondence with Xerxes' suggestion on SSLF, I think I'll add some more stuff in there.

The windshield and surrounding areas. As I previously mentioned, I've replaced those 1x1 trans-orange round plates with 1x1 grey cylinders.

Another interior shot with the windshield open.

Grabbing onto the maintenence ladder. Yeah, its a Kasai pilot, I don't have a mech pilot yet.

My favorite shot. Sporting a rail gun now!

Dual-pulse cannons and rail gun attached. Ready to kick some buttocks.

It's a cool looking mech, my main complaint is that the arms could be nearly double the size.

Very nice, the in-cockpit shot is amazing. All I would suggest is... Huh. Nothing. Oh yeah, and I don't think that a vehicle that size could support a rail gun (I'm one of those "it has to be realistic" types :P. Rail guns don't even have enough energy when on entire sea battleships, so yeah. There.)

This walker is cool, but is it hawt? I don't know. Maybe. I love the design. The legs look fantastic. The body is really good too, though the trans-orange missiles (that's what they are right?) are a bit glaring. That in-cockpit shot is awesome. My biggest complaint is that I would give it longer arms. Still, it's really awesome. Glad to see you're still kickin'!
