It seems as though I have been in the mood lately to build racing airplanes. This little guy was made exclusively from pieces found in the little LegoŽ set 4918 - "Mini Flyers." That little set is a "Creator" set so it comes with instructions to build three different models, a helicopter, a bi-plane and a little jet. Set 4918 comes with only 76 pieces. Some people might think that with so few pieces it would be hard to come up with a new original design using only those pieces. However, if you put your mind to it and are patient, you can come up with a neat design of your own.
This little pylon racer would be at home at an aerobatic airshow or a race like the Red Bull Air Race. It has room for only one person, and I'm sure there is only just enough room for him or her. It is sleek and fast and maneuverable.
Be sure when you are making your "single set MOC" that you spend some time working out the color scheme so it is pleasing to the eye. Also, try to make the model as durable as you can so you will be able to play with it without breaking it.
Sometimes, when you build models that are this small, and you have only a limited number and type of pieces, you have to imagine a little on some of the details. For instance, for this model, you have to imagine that there are wheels under the wings and tail, not just the little cones and round 1 x 1 plate.
Just in case you are curious, there are 28 parts in this little MOC.
What will you make from set 4918?

Ok thanks just needed to see how you transitioned the 1x2 to the 1x1. Can you please look at my micro airliner it needs more comments but please look at the British Airways one. If you could that would be greatly appreciated!
