A Large LEGO Space Shuttle, 122 studs long, fully tiled.
About this creation
This is a large-scale LEGO Space Shuttle that I've been working on for the past year or so. I don't know how many pieces it has--but it's many, many thousand, especially considering that every surface is covered with tiles.
The scale is 1 stud = 1 foot. The space shuttle is 122ft long and thus my model is about 122 studs (38 inches, nearly a meter) long.
are you for that the space shuttle did build?
If yes, you last with one buy in agreement? What would you require, for complete shuttle? Please announce yourselves. I come from Germany. I believe you come from the USA, or?
I love this thing!
Hope you don't mind, but I've recreated your model in LDD so I can build it myself. I've smoothened it a little here and there (literally in some places), but the basics are still there.
I've uploaded some renders here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/92062076@N08/sets/72157642557188593/
Again, cheers for making (and photographing) this!
The space shuttle Enterprise does have grey wing leading edges.
There is no such thing as minifig scale. I've seen good work at anything from 1:50 down to 1:35. The scale chosen for this example is about 1:43 so right in the middle of perfectly fine IMHO.
I do agree that it's the best Lego space shuttle model currently out there.
I see, Ill have to look, but I believe discoveries were black, Is this minifig scale? I think its a tad small for that, right? Just looked, atlantises were grey, very distinctly, but discoveries were black. who cares about endeavor, it has to many techical issues :P
@f-22 raptor, not true. Some shuttles such as Enterprise and Atlantis have grey leading edges on the majority of the wing. These were the two I usually referenced (I had up-close access to Enterprise at a local museum--admittedly, this isn't a real, space-worthy shuttle)
