About this creation
Among the first of the alien forces to arrive, and commonly considered their grunt, the Baramos was the most commonly faced opponent during the war. At first labeled "HXL-002", it was not long before the true name of the Baramos was revealed along with the identity of its race. The cosmic horrors from beyond the stars, the Dross, had come to Earth to raze it of all life. The Baramos were the children of Nimzos, themselves the children of the queen of the Dross, the enigmatic Syn. Of the two kinds of Dross formed in this manner, Baramos were easily the most numerous - neither intelligent nor organized, their advantages lay in their numbers.

Baramos stand roughly 18 meters tall, their lean reptilian frames characterized by large, clawed hands. They are very lightly armored, fast but fragile. This is not to say they're weak - a Baramos can match a Kerykeion Mark III in single combat, its claws a match for an armblade in both strength and cutting power. Its signature ability makes it next to invulnerable at range - while moving, a Baramos releases a continuous burst of energy which makes targeting them a nearly impossible feat, forcing them to be fought at melee range. However, it lacks any defensive capability, and a single successful attack is usually enough to slay a Baramos. Given enough time, on the order of three or four decades, a Baramos will mutate into a Nimzo, but otherwise its life tends to be brief and violent. While this sounds somewhat tragic, the Baramos themselves don't seem to mind.

As with Nimzo and all other Dross, Baramos is not my creation, but that of a friend, which was put up here at his request.
