One of my recent creations. A fleet tender.
About this creation

The Quicksilver was designed to support other vessels with construction and repair. I wanted to play around with a few ideas. Here is the front, showing the enclosed bridge module.

Aft view, showing the engines.

One thing I wanted to experiment with was a sort of "Swiss Army knife" idea, with the ship having a central array of tools. The dishes visible on the fore and aft modules are gravity generators, for use with materials that might need a gravitational field to construct or manage safely.

The manipulator arms are used for repairs and for gripping individual components. Though not intended primarily to be a transport, the Quicksilver can carry larger pieces over relatively short distances with help from its tractor emitters.

The arms wound up being a little spindlier than I'd have liked, but I'd like to think the scale isn't too off. In between the arms are paired fusion welders and tractor beams for materials work. The tools are modular and can be replaced as needed, although I haven't built any other tools as yet.
