Helix 7
The Helix 7, lucky number 7!
About this creation
I thought its about time that the Helix got a fresh coat of paint, but I decided to lose the paint and make a new ship :)
A bit of Background
The Helix is the famous personal spaceship of Redmond Deja, Captian of the 7th COP Space Fleet, Well known Astrophysicist and Hero of the planet Iporla.
Not much is known about his past, but it is known that he lived on a desert backwater planet but aspired to reach the stars, and did so by building a ship and flying away, only to crash it on the planet Norcia. From here he enlisted in the Norcian Space Army and became a pilot; but in his spare time built the Helix 4...
Over time he updated and rebuilt his ship, up until the Helix 6 - which he crashed in the Hangar bay of the Devastator during the events of Nightmares Pt 2
Since the ship was destroyed he built a completely new one: Lucky number 7...

So the Helix is kinda a hybrid of a personal ship, and something else - its got alot of room, some good weaponry, powerful engines and its kinda a home for Redmond :)
I present to you, the new and improved - Helix 7!

Full frontal....yes it looks like a Sith Inflitrator....I was inspired by its shape :)

Overhead shot, the ship itself measures 37 Studs long, 40 Studs wide,

The classic back shot: Landing gear, engines, rear hatch etc.

A wing, includes light, spikey things, and the front of the large engine

The back of the engine - each wing has two sub-light engines, and one big Lightspeed engines!

The wing tip, its got these groovy side fins - I dont really know why I put them there...

Two twin nose blasters, small - but pack in a decent punch

On the underbelly of the ship: two rather large particle guns - the real life laser

Deep underneath is a MP2 Pulsar Electro-Magnetic-Pulse cannon, fires EMP Blasts

On the edge of each wing are twin spike thingies - still havent figured out what to make them for (So far they're just there!)

Redmond Deja sitting in the Cockpit or Cabin - its hard to say with this ship. It has a brand new Windshield, I changed it from the old tinted blue one; just didnt suit the colour scheme.

I have made it so I can take the Windshield off with ease, the Helix 7 has lots of controls 'n' stuff

The back, I loooove this part. It has a big rear section to put stuff

The rear hatch opens completely! I think its purely genius :)

I like this shot, very dark (The ship has internal lights though) - reminds me of 'Alien'

The top opens (Sunroof lol), For the ship it doesnt - but I have made it so I can access the inside easily - but if the ship were real it wouldn't

"Hey, what you want?" - the chair swivels! kewl!

On the left side of the cabin; A fold up bed!

On the right side: A Television sitting ontop of two empty canisters; which are used for storing food etc. And two weapons holders; holding a M14A and a Space-Assault rifle

Having a good kip, I spose the ship is a cosy little thing, reminds me of the Serenity

Rear Landing gear...

Front landig gear, folds completely into the nose,

And on each wing is a very powerful Xenon XVI Light - space is dark!

The underbelly of the ship...

The front of the ship whilst in flight! Supported by two empty DVD cases :P

" " Side

A nice photo of Redmond Deja at the controls

Here is Redmonds little gizmo - the Speedy-Scooter Mini

It has a very comfortable seat...

It travels at a steady 120Kmp/h but it would be quicker to fly the extra 120k's :P

Redmond Deja, Helix and Speedy-Scooter Mini.

"Okay, so now you seen ma crib, git the heck outa here!"

"Initiate takeoff, lets get outta here!"

Back In Time
The Helix 4, the ol' bucket O' bolts.

The Helix 5, Packed with weapons, hidden features,

The Helix 6 - modern, and last to sport the tinted blue windshield

And now, the current Helix 7

So building this ship from scratch took about 2 1/2 hours, with some breaks for diet coke and the bathroom (in that order lol)... you can actually see a can in the very first picture of the ship being built....amazing....
Anyway it took 2 1/2 hours to built and about an hour to upload! know......

wow this is the one from the nightmares comic. Just a random fact but Adolf Hitler (no offence to Jewish people) considered the number 7 lucky!

Wow this is quite a nice looking ship! I love the random sensors and the detail and the fact that it actually has a boarding entrance.....something I'll never be able to do....

Very nice, even if the front is a little too flat, in my opinion. It couuld do with soem bulking up.

This is quite enjoyable, but I think that some studs on the nose need to go. Other than that, its great.
