1913 American-LaFrance Type 10 Pumping Engine
This is a 1913 American-LaFrance Type 10 triple combination pumping engine. As a triple combination it has a 600 gpm rotary pump, a 35-gallon chemical tank and carries 1000 feet of standard 2-inch fire hose. It was originally built with solid rubber tires. It was fitted with pneumatic tires in the 1920s.
About this creation

The American-LaFrance Type 10 was introduced in 1911. It featured a four-cylinder 72 horsepower motor on a 140-inch wheel base chassis with chain drive. It was slightly larger than the Type 5, which was the first motor fire apparatus built in significant numbers by American-LaFrance.

The Type 10 was used for pumping engines, hose wagons, combinations chemical and hose wagons, double tank chemical engines and squad wagons. The Type 10 stayed in the American-LaFrance line up through 1926, although very few were built after 1921. A total of 385 Type 10 apparatus were built.

The American-LaFrance Fire Engine Company Ltd was founded in January 1904 in Elmira, New York. Over the course of the next 110 years American-LaFrance would be the most prolific builder of motor fire apparatus. The company ceased operation in 2014.

Quoting James Keatley i love this, the BnW photos and wheels just finish it off, i know it sounds odd, but do you build modern pieces at all? and please can you tell me what the part name is for those wheels, they'd be perfect for wheeled escapes on vintage british rigs.
Thanks for the compliment. I build modern apparatus. These are under my account as Engine552 on Brickshelf. The wheels for this rig are part number 2470 - Wheel Wagon Small (27mm ).
