Hi, I’m Gil, star of Dennis’ comic Glomshire Knights. Welcome to the map room here in the Keep at Castle Glomshire. I’m standing on a model of our walled city, one that Lord Jerek uses for war games where Glomshire is under attack. Take a look a look around and you’ll see the Keep is actually built on a small island off the coast, and we even have another island outpost to serve as a early warning system. (It’s also the scene of our first dragon attack joke in episode five, but that’s not important right now.)
Shown above is the Keep, which was built ages ago and really the formal Castle Glomshire. The walled city came into being as the years went by -- guess the lords and ladies didn't like the peasants hanging around the castle proper, so they made them build huts on the mainland. The city walls form the first barrier of protection, and these defenses will provide city dwellers enough time to retreat to the Keep if necessary. The Keep has access to fresh water and room for storing plenty of provisions should the need arise. But who would ever want to attack such a peaceful kingdom?
You know what? I’m just too tired to be funny. This MOC is a microscale model of a plan I toyed with for a mini-fig scale walled city for my comic. I don’t have the parts to do it yet, and I should point out that each the “buildings” you see here would actually be a cluster of shops, homes, barracks, etc.
Good luck to Darren and to all MOCOlympians!
Bonus: This is a microscale office building that may appear in an upcoming comic.
hey dennis can you check out my pirate moc, i'd appreciate it, thanks
I like it

Looks great Dennis. An interesting idea to do a microscale map. That's something I have not seen before, but I really like it. I also like that you incorporated Glomshire into it. Overall, the build is nice and gives us a great glimpse into the future of Glomshire. Well done!
It was a close call but you got my vote because of the castle outpost on the water and the addition of the tower. Plus, building a "map" takes a lot of planning (not that his ship didn't need that... but you know what I mean) Good luck with the other judges! ~ Chris

If I got microscale, I think i'd also build a castle. What is the white tower again? I like the cottages in the castle. everything seems to have pretty good aspect ratios.
Which white tower? The small one off the coast is a lookout tower where a bonfire beacon can be lit to warn the Keep and the city of approaching invaders. The very last shot is a possible office building for a microscale city I may need for a comic I'm planning.
