YF-174 Griffin
Welcome to YourCurian Shipyards! Today in your press kits you will find what the government is allowing us to release to the general public. We are proud to unveil the YF-174 Griffin!
About this creation

While the Griffin is sleek and alluring the beast within will earn respect.

The Griffin's primary purpose is breaking the backs of enemy naval logistical support vessals. Able to conduct missions in both the vacuum of space and in most atmospheric conditions, the Griffin can be the Swiss army knife in any commanders back pocket.

On recent perfomance evaluations in an undisclosed location the Griffin not only surpassed all required specifications but set the standard for all future testing fleet wide.

The only complaint was from the pilots stating that they were an afterthought when designing the cockpit. One of the test pilots even requisitioned a shoehorn to assist in strapping him into the ejection seat.

But once they became familiar with the Griffin they found that it was like putting on a favorite pair of gloves.

Since we hit the contractual mark and was even underbudget and under the weight constraints we were able to add a pilots storage comparment in the tail for everything from survival gear to special reading material. Basically anything they could not leave home without. The stabilizers can pivot and swing giving the Griffin previously unheard of atmospheric maneuverability on multi-role fighters.

The Anti-Missile System on the tail was so accurate that they nicknamed it William Tell. The Marine test pilot even developed maneuvers that used the AMS in dogfighting and has been included in fleet training. Oops...the men in black are on the way. SORRY!

The rotary cannon is our pride and joy. But I can't say much more than that. Ahem... Hard points under the wings allow for torpedos and missiles alike.

Whatever the mission calls for the Griffin is the option for it!

Hehe, that was fun. I built this for my son. Sadly the Griffin's durability in his hands was not up to par. I found pieces of it everywhere a week later.

I was impressed with myself but now that I have seen what has been posted on here I see that I have to up my game. I am very impressed with both the Minifig designs and the Micro ones. I will see if I can come close on my next post.

Great colour combo and the cockpit is outstanding. An interesting design, good work. Over and out!

Nice work, the shape from the top looks good, although you could improve the side profile a little, it's a bit hard to recognise the form. The HUD is a nice detail, and I enjoyed reading your commentary! Keep it up! :)
