A bust of Sachiel from Neon Genesis Evangelion.
About this creation
I built this rather quickly in Lego Digital Designer. While my EVA busts were only of the head and shoulders, I wanted Sachiel to be a little bit more. Also, I decided from the start of this model that I wanted him in some sort of action pose. Random fun fact: the alternate reality shown in episode 26 of Neon Genesis Evangelion was the basis for many of the related manga, most notably "The Shinji Ikari Raising Project".

Shot of the front of Sachiel, highlighting the face and core. If you look closely, you can see that I used technic-style bricks with holes in the center on his shoulders (there are holes in his shoulder as shown in my reference picture).

Angled shot from the rear top left.

Shot of the backside, showing more of his bone structure.

Side shot of his long arm extended.

My primary referenfe pic. Initially I had planned to have Sachiel grabbing the missile as pictured, but the missile would have been as big as the bust (if not bigger).

I really like how Sachiel turned out, especially considering that I built this bust in LDD (which kind of limits the pieces avaialable). I might do others from the series in the future (maybe Sahaquiel or Zeruel?)

Finally, the song "Thanatos" from the Evangelion soundtrack.
