While authoring my book Cool Cars and Trucks in 2007, I was visiting Vienna. As I walked passed one of their MAN Recycling Trucks, I exclaimed out loud, "Now that's a cool car!" Much to the bemusement of the local sanitation staff, I then proceeded to take photos of the truck from every angle.
When I returned to New York, I built this model of the truck. It was originally going to be included in the book, but never made the cut.
Another MOC from one of the most innovative LEGO builders out there. I've already retrofitted a couple of these techniques to some older stuff. You are an inspiration to all of us who decided to get back into this hobby. Thank you Sean!
I think this is awsome, I can understand what 'Dylan' (a few comments below me) is saying but I like the way you have made the cab of the truck from scratch and not used the 'set' pieces like the roof of the lego city police van.
Honestly Sean, it is not very good. It has it's ups and downs dude, but I'm not feeling it with this one. Good attempt and I'd like to see some improvements made, for example a total reconstruction of the frontal portion. Hope you understand. Now we just need to put Kelso into it and it will be set to drive back to the dump! -Dylan
I just thought I'd point something out here : "Much to the bemusement of the local sanitation staff, I the proceded to take --- " You put "I the proceeded" instead of "I proceeded," Unless it's meant to be like that. Apart from that, it looks great!
