In which our hero emerges from a build session sweating and hungry.
About this creation
Category: Microscale
Opponent: Master Shifu Leo J
- - - - - - -
LEGO catalog arrived in the mail; saw the back cover. Thought I'd try my hand at a microscale 10197 Fire Brigade. I won't say I'd make sweet love to that set, but I will say I'd consider it.
And with that, he never tried microscale again.

This is great, it's too bad the judges did not maintain a professional level of conduct, although shifu's creation was also good, he won more due to writing than to the actual build. I know it's safe to assume you would have had the winning moc if you had had judges that could fairly do their job. Again, great creation too bad you didn't get what you deserved in the winners circle. |

Hey Alex! I swore I commented on this already...but apparently I did not. Anyway, this build is awesome! You really managed to shrink the Fire Brigade down to a size that would look great on a shelf or on an office desk. Thanks for 'letting' me snag your design for the Recycle category in Round #4. With your help I was able to advance. Thanks again and I can't wait to see your next masterpiece. :-) |

Well Alex, you've been a worthy competetor so far, and again this is a great, sorry, small build. But somehow this seems to easy compared to what Master Shifu did. I'm sorry man, my vote lies with him. Thanks for playing! |

Shifu's got me eating my words - not weeping for you're opponent this time around. In fact, I'm giving him my vote. It was a close one, and this was some terrific work, but couldn't compete (IMHO) with Sifu's concept, even if it was a bit Phipsonesque. I leave it up to Gio for the final call...good luck! |

In my mind, microscale is anything smaller than minifig scale. This certainly qualifies as that. It's like he washed it in hot water. |

I know Lego microscale is a bit of a vague science, but in my eyes this doesn't really qualify as microscale. I guess it is scaled down version, which you could argue makes it microscale... I don't know. Who am I to speak on such matters, anyway, after all, it is the category I got kicked out of the MOs with. Nevertheless a spectacular build! |
