About this creation
An LDD rendition of Earth as it looked from the Hadean to the Permian. Or in laypeople terms, a loooong time ago, before the dinosaurs.
The Hadean, probably after the moon formed. Highly mysterious. Named for it's hellish conditions.
The Archaean, or Archean, after the Earth had cooled a bit, and finally getting some life.
The Proterozoic. Specifically, the Neoproterozoic, when some think that we had a global glacier covering. This hypothesis is known as "Snowball Earth".
The Cambrian, first period of the Phanerozoic eon. Looks pretty boring, doesn't it? Well, under the water, there's a LOT going on.
The Ordovician. ZZZZZZ.
Ah, what's this? Plant life? You are looking at the Silurian, which hosted the first land plants.
Now this here is the Devonian, which is the first time we had BIG plants.
Carboniferous. Known for swamps.
The Permian, which ended in the biggest mass-extinction EVER.
Well, I hope you liked the results of my addiction to Lego Digital Designer. Expect the Triassic next. Hopefully I didn't offend anyone with different views. I'm just representing the geologic history of the Earth as best we know, in (digital) Lego form.
