This is my version of the Endor speeder bike. I wanted to create one that was mini fig scale but the obvious problem is a mini fig's inability to straddle anything thicker than a piece of paper. So I came up with this technique. The only mod pieces are the handle grips and the hip holder for the gun.
About this creation
With this technique, the mini fig is still standard size, plus the blocky leg look.
The last shot was done with a black light to get the lightsaber effect. Because Luke wears black pants, he kinda blends into the speeder, but it still looks good.
Thanks for stopping by and please let me know what you think
If I saw this back when you made it, It would have brought me out of my dark age! Nice techniqe with the robot arm connecting the two bars in the front. The real version has a connection that looks like that. I agree with you about the Minifig's inability to straddle anything. I think I spent more time figuring out how to do that than the actual build of the bike. I would love to see you do a revamp of your speederbike BTW!
Cool speeder, very accurate and detailed! I like that you didn`t use the ordinary legs, but some lego parts. Great job! And btw I love the last pic, the effect makes it look as it was from the 70´s or 80´s :)
I usually don't comment on SW MOCs (not that I don't like them, I'm simply in overdose) but I wanted to return the visit, so I chose the one I like best... Very (and I mean VERY, as far as speeder bikes go) well done. I'd even buy the set, if it came out :)
Looks extremely accurate, well designed, and very smooth build. Great work. My only problem with it is that from the look of it, the minifig is intergrated. If you could figure out how to remove the fig, then this would be just about the best speeder I've ever seen.

I'm flattered, my first 'Phipson'. Not sure about 'seeing' and 'BIG' in the same sentence, but play to the crowd I always say...Seriously, I am trying to come up with something, ahem, LARGER, and more importantly, non Star Wars.(I would hate to become cliche)
Quoting Hans: "but the obvious problem is a mini fig's inability to straddle anything thicker than a piece of paper." You know, I knew a few chicks like that in my younger days... didn't hang out with them for too long. Anyway, not a bad idea there. I actually like the foot peddles you added to the design.
