Previously: Jin'Tak has been given a new mission. Irrek and Ache come to the mountain pass to find him waiting for them.
About this creation
Music for this chapter:
Irrek and Ache dismounted and walked toward the assassin.
Irrek: You... Why did you try to kill us? Who are you? Who sent you? I want answers before I take your life.
Jin'Tak stepped back, surprised to see Irrek alive.
Irrek: Speak! Or so help me I will rip the words from your throat myself.
Jin'Tak: My master cannot complete his quest if you are alive. I must finish my duties...
Jin'Tak charged at Irrek. Ache drew his daggers and entered the fight.
As the conflict began, the two horses were frightened by an unseen force and fled.
As Irrek parried Jin'Taks blow, Ache threw his daggers forward...
But Jin'Tak avoided them with ease.
Irrek charged again...
but was kicked into the air.
Ache jumped at Jin'Tak...
Who pushed himself into the air.
He landed on top of one of the trees in the pass.
Irrek was enraged.
Irrek: Coward! Devil! You will pay for the life you stole from us!
Jin'Tak spoke, but a deeper, malicious voice echoed over his own.
Jin'Tak: Don't be fooled, boy. He is under my control now and more powerful than you can hope to overcome... The warrior Jin'Tak is no more, lost to the devil within himself.
Jin'Tak jumped off the tree toward Irrek, almost gliding. It was clear this man was not human.
Ache intercepted him...
and thrust him to the ground.
Ache: You mentioned my brothers name. What have you done with him? Who are you?
Ache removed Jin'Taks hood and mask and, for the first time in fifteen years, looked into his brothers eyes.
He fell backwards, shocked.
Ache: No... it can't be.
Just then, Jin'Tak stood up. His face changed and his swords began to glow.
He charged at Irrek, who barely had time to avoid the attack.
Jin'Taks swords hit the tree, cutting it in half.
Irrek: Ache! Snap out of it!
Jin'Tak charged again...
but missed hitting anything but another tree. He was breathing heavily now, like a rampaging beast.
Ache: Irrek, we can't kill him.
Irrek: Why not? The world must be rid of this monster.
Ache: Hes not the monster. Hes been corrupted. We need knock him out and find help.
Jin'Tak charged at Irrek for a third time, who dodged it yet again.
Irrek watched as the tree began to fall toward him...
Quoting Brik Masta
Great comic, the whole hitting trees thing reminded me of a classic boss battle, where you gotta figure out the pattern and use it against the boss. (aka, pushing the tree on him :P )
Ya, I got the same feeling. Although it still fits seeing that he is in his altered state so he doesnt have as much control, like a wild animal.
