About this creation
Halo. Haha, I KNOW, right? Yeesh...

The scene I built is from this video in Halo Wars. No, I didn't play the game to find out about it, it came from a friend.

I created the initial stand-off between the Spartans and the Elites when the creatures were first spotted. It's not much, but it's all I could whip up due to BrickCon being in five days. Five days! *faints*

I have heard from several respected builders to never apologize for a creation, but right now I'm gonna apologize for the poor quality photos. I have many reasons they turned out not so great, but I'm just gonna leave it at "sorry".
But the build. O the build! I actually laughed aloud at the fact that I was stinkin' trying to be a Halo kiddie? Oh MAN!
I even made a Master Chief for kicks and giggles. Chris, what have you done to me!? =)
My opponent's homepage

Well folks, that's it. Be on the lookout for my summer project post in the near future!
--------------------------------------------
EDIT: There has been some comments outside the realm of MOCpages concerning the use of Justin Stebbin's Elite leg technique without credit.
Now, beside it being merely a modified version of such, I want to point whoever may say anything of the sort to THIS conversation. In the words of Yupa-sama, "Nobody owns a technique. Credit is polite, but not necessary."
Yes, Justin inspired what you see here, but I don't exactly know what that has to do with my being a turd by not giving him credit, or even using in the first place!
I will close my comment with a quote from Andrew Becraft, which says, "I say embrace the open source mentality and let people build without worrying about attribution for how two LEGO elements were put together in a creation!"
I couldn't agree more.

Ah well, nice to see you at BrickCon at any rate. Just watch out in the showers - I heard Chris dropped the soap. Lee. |

Well, Luse, I hate to say it, but it's time for you to hit the showers. It's a nice little build you've done, but Mark's was far more complex. I know you were working for BrickCon and didn't have a lot of time to spare, so I won't give you too much guff (about this, anyway). Thanks for playing this year. |

Well this is nice! I would even say charming, but I'm not a HALO fan, so I should say: This just isn't convincing. I gave my vote to your opponent. thanks for playing. |

Nice creation. I like the way you made the base/tunnel way. Agree with Chris about credit. Other wise you have to say-Thanks to (evryone on MOC pages names and everyon who has evr built LEGO) on giving be the idea to put two 2x4's together in a brick fashion. Imagine that. shessh. |

Sorry to say it JD, but Mark got my vote on this one. Had you had a warthog crashing through the bad guys or a pelican dropping off some troops, maybe it woulda been a different story. Sorry man, good luck with the other judges! And on a side note, I agree with you that giving credit when applicable is a nice gesture, but also not "necessary." If you use something that is a direct copy of something or simply rip it off brick (to the best of ones ability) for brick or word for word, then sure, you should cite it without question. But using a basic technique that's been used a thousand times before by many builders, no, not needed. Anyway, that's all from my soapbox. Good luck! ~ Chris. |

This moc is a perfect example of "Clean Building". It is simple, and THAT is why it's so cool. The use of the half slopes on the alien feet is especially cool. Attack! |

Oh wow, a round 4 entry...already? I really really need to get building again. Even though I don't know a thing about Halo, I like your corridor. It has some decent techniques and you did show some of those Halo-kiddies how it's done. |

Looks way too professional from someone with limited pieces focus'ing on a convention. I'm not a Halo affitionado, but some great techinques in here. Tiles are really well used to make it look futuristic. |

Really nice work building a walkway JD. I haven't really played much HALO, but I think you managed to capture the walkway quite nicely. Seriously dude, this is perhaps one of the best raised-sidewalks with minifigs that I have ever seen. Oh, and great job being the first to post Round IV. ...the smack talk begins. |

oh yeah... you were destined to be a HALO builder! |

Then I'm sorry to spoil what you consider fun. The judges are here to look at the build, and since I have so much else I could be worrying about, I did the minimum.
Naw, I am acting like a Kiddy, yeh... |
