I'm too late to the party for my vote to count, but I wanted to at least give ya the "two thumbs way up" on the build. Great work! Clean build, good color work, and a nice composition to the MOC, as well.
I didn't realize that Greg Luganis was a personal hero of yours... good on you dude! LOVE the minikit. I am so glad I am not judging this round. Good luck! ~dave

I still can't understand how Whopper Jr. voted against you last round Eggy. You nailed that round, your opponents MOC was good, but had fundamental flaws that I think were overlooked. Ah well, votes are final though.

I am going to make my comment in the group forums so that it can be moderated.
I'm not very interested in sport, but anyway this is an awesome build ! Too bad you've lost (even if Eggy did a good job too). Hope you're not sad about the votes and that we'll see a lot of new MOCs from you soon :-)
While this is an EXCELLENT build with some amazing techniques, I had to go with Eggycat for his landscaping (the bikini beach vollyball didn't hurt either hehehe). Like I said on Eggy's post, for those of you that are having issue with Aliencat picking a substitute, read this. "And a note to those that are finding issue with Eggy substituting for Aliencat. I would let ANYONE at this point, if they were traveling for the entire round and had put forth some of the most AMAZING mocs in this competition to pick someone to build in their stead while they were gone. It wouldn't be fair to have someone like cat have to drop out at this stage of the game on a technicality. Had this been round 1 or 2, then it would have been a different story and Cat would have been up the preverbial creek without said paddle." That's what I wrote on Eggy's post and I hope that makes some sense to you all. In the meantime 2x4, like I said my man, this was a GREAT build and that minikit thing almost had me. I've been looking for that thing FOREVER! Sorry man, time to warm the bench. You've been one of our STRONGEST players and I'm REALLY glad that you decided to play. ~ Chris.
I agree with Uspez Morbo. Well I know that Aliencat is a pretty good builder, and he probably would have come up with something as cool as this, but that's not the point! It's unfair in my opinion, what if anyone lets somebody else build their MOCs...? I couldn't participate because I was on a trip for five weeks, maybe I should have found myself someone who would have won that three rounds before and then join in again? Well, some will say that life isn't fair...but in an Olympic competition, it should at least look as if it was fair!

really great job I love the build of the entire scene and there are a lot of lovely details in here, also you've got humor in it with Mario, fantastic job!!
What's up with this EggyCat business, since when is a pinch builder allowed in the MOColympics?? Shouldn't Aliencat's forfeit have given you an automatic win? I preferred your build as far as the category went since I'd rather watch Olympic diving than golf any day. The Prof's landscaping is hard to beat but you shouldn't have had to in the first place... maybe there's more to this than I realize but it seems rules have been bent for some favorites.
A Really Cool build here. I like the concept of the guy splashing into the water. Mario as a judge is a Hoot! I'm not really sure what that cart is behind the stadium. Is that some sort of inside joke?
Very nice. Very nice indeed. I don't agree with Dylan about the contrast between the busy areas and the 'empty' areas being wrong (sorry dude; nothing personal, of course).
Sure, the contrast is there, but with a function. The crowd is naturally crowded (ba-dum tish!), and the pool area is reserved for the athletes and judges, so it's bound to be less busy. It all feels rather natural to me. It's a great build, it has some action, it has some funny details, what's not to like?
Absolutely stunning build! I love the pool and the splash effect! Not sure why some people have an issue with mixing SNOT with studded techniques. Are they not allowed to be in the same build? I have no clue, but I think you did an excellent job and am looking forward to the outcome. Good luck!
Wow! The judges are gonna have a hard time on both of your creations. Better them than me, hehe... Your build has "more" action. The crowd, judges, medical staff, and camera crew accentuates the sporting event feel. Otherwise your entries are neck-and-neck build-wise. If I were to judge, I'd give you the edge. Good luck to both of you!
Good work. I really like the appearance of this MOC, and the way all of the colors blend. I think that you remained a little too "stud-happy" throughout out. What I mean by this is that we see a lot of detailed areas throughout and a lot of empty spaces where just gray tile exists. Too much detail is not good, but this MOC does not blend well together. It appears as if you just "threw the pieces together as if it were a dartboard." The pieces hit random places, some hitting the bulls-eye and others just all over the place. Also I think that if your going to use so much SNOT (studs not on top) than you should use the same technique on the stairs for a similar effect and blend. It was a stellar effort, but inconsistent errors and assortment would place opinion for EggyCat to win. -Dylan
Amazing build. Love the pool, diving board.. Thing, the judges table, everything in this is great! Indeed, stu*pid boy. That Popsicle must have cost a fortune! (Sarcasm) Anyway, if there's a minikit, where's the secret red brick?
