Yes, it's been a whole year since I first created my MOCpages account! Okay, so I'm not sure of the exact date, but it was sometime in late September, or early October. So, I'll be celebrating with this fourth... and hopefully FINAL version of what I believe to be my best-known 10-wide design.
About this creation
It all started with the first version, which featured my first flip-nose hood design.
The second version featured smoother lines, and some much-needed SNOT work in the back.
The third one was the only version to feature a decent interior and opening doors. But something else was needed...
So, this final version picks up where the third version left off. Just scroll down, and you'll find the flip-nose hood, a detailed interior, and opening doors. But finally... FINALLY, the model will include a detailed engine and chassis.
The chassis, something the first version lacked.
And now let's take a look at the interior.
This more than makes up for the cramped interior in the first version, I think.
And now, here comes the car's coolest feature!
But wait! You're probably wondering if there's going to be an engine under here. But don't worry, this new engine is a big, powerful, butt-kicking...
Yeah, that's right. An in-line six!
With an engine like this, it's more like a sports car than a muscle car.
Well, it's been quite a year. I hope I haven't been too much of a pain to my fellow MOCcers, and I certainly hope to continue building LEGO cars for as long as possible.
Special thanks to the following:
And a very special thank-you to any anonymous visitors who are crazy enough to visit my page regularly. You know who you are.
If I forgot anybody, please feel free to express your anger!
First of all, that is sick! Second of all, that is sick!!! Okay, I used to be really bad at making cars compact, and not loose and falling apart. I was jealous of your design, so I decided to build a dodge ram 1500 using the same techniques as yours. I just posted it, THANK YOU SO MUCH and please check it out!
Waaahooo!! This thing is awesome! And in a lego car, I think it's more for looks than for actual speed in reality. In other words, I think a lego car with a really cool inline six is better than a lego car with a really lame V8. Wherefore, I believe this is your best engine, by far. Congrats on your first year! Now I'm going to have to check how long I've been on!
This is great! Congratulations! I was really expecting a blown V8 under there, I LOL'd when I saw the puny inline-six. But then again, my brother's Jag has an inline-six and it's pretty fast so I guess I shouldn't judge things simply by looking at 'em. Great work, again. Sweet bodywork, too.
*****faint***** this is awesome!!!! I love the interior, engine, design, colors, AND what's even better is that it gave me an idea! Thinking.... thinking.... planning.... inspiring.... DONE!!!! I am proudly going to design my own cars and change it every week!!!
*cough* your inline six is more of a *cough* slant six... the most bottom of the barrel, absolute lowest grade engine you could get in the late 60s.
(muscle i think not) but of course it has to look awesome anyway with all that coolness. (even your six looks awesome)
A year? Wow, seems like you've been here forever! (That's a very good thing, you're in the fabric of MOCpages life!) Best iteration of this car yet, a straight six is unusual too. I think I also joined MOCpages around this time last year : )
First of all, happy anniversary and thanks for mentioning my name on the top of your list, I really appreciate it a lot, and of course you did an amazing job here on your model; from the nice painting job to the aggressive shape till that massive engine you placed under the hood. It's so interesting how you made your cars so detailed and realistic at this scale, I assure you that it's not an easy job at all, any way hope you to have a happy building in your upcoming days, keep on the great work >>> peace.. You didnt include me on the list! how dare you! Now i must think of some alternative, wierd and satisfying way to get rid of you. aww, i thought i didnt have to think at all on fridays!
(oh, and a very fine car you got there sir)
I think this needs for 'HAPPY BIRTH-LEGO-DAY!!!' :) And thanks for putting my name on the list - I feel honored. :) Oh, and model - I thing you've made a crazy work here. This previously inverted paint job looks really nice. And all the details for this small car... niiiiice.
