The Order of the black cross
These are my custom decals made for minifigures.
About this creation
The Order of the black cross. Just a piece of imagination to make some great decals, inspired on the decals from Justin Saberscorpion and the tunics from the knights in assassin's creed. I also added custom hair made out of clay, but it still is soft because I bought the wrong clay... Not very smart, but still it looks really medievalish(is that actually a word?).

About the order
The order of the black cross lived in Europe from the 9th until the 15th century. From 900-1000 they lived in peace and mostly studied in their libraries to gain knowledge. But in the 11th century there were so many wars that they had to be able to defend themselves, so they started to practice their fighting skills, especially close combat. They became a powerful group, with both knowledge and fighting skills, but never started a war. They had many allies and friends and helped them in any way they could. But the foes of their allies did not go easy on them. From 1100-1400 they built many castles and outposts and started to gain land. They had outposts all along the coastline from France to Italy and they had castles all across Europe from England to Austria. But in the 15th century they lost ground and so power because of the newest weapon of their foes, the canon. In the end of the 15th century their last castle was destroyed and most of the order's members had died defending them. Most of the survivors were captured and punished which usually ended in death. The ones who survived became pilgrims and traveled between cities to teach people more about their lives. In the beginning of the 16th century the last of them, named St. Bernardo, died and the order was forgotten.

The whole crew
From left to right: student, scholar, chief scholar, soldier, knight, master, grandmaster.

I love it! (To the guy below me) Hospitallers? Nah. More like the Teutonic Knights. The style of cross is reminiscent of the Templars, though.
