LCW-96 NE Ghoul Battlewalker
The Ghoul battlewalker is a frontline assault mech of the CSE.
About this creation

The Ghoul was designed by the veteran military engineers of Arantek Design Industries. It combines cutting-edge technology with tried and true armor and weapons systems. All in all, it is one of the CSE’s best battlewalkers.

The Ghoul uses a complex system of titanium carbide tiles to deflect projectiles and resist explosions. Because it has a tactical nuclear weapon mounted, the Ghoul has radiation shielding and EMP hardening.

In terms of weapons, the Ghoul is armed to the teeth. Its main weapon is the double-mounted Rysonant 100mm Cannon. This cannon’s twin barrels can be fired simultaneously or independently, depending on what is needed. Increasing the power of the already potent 100mm cannons mounted on the Ghoul’s right side is “CATAQ” which stands for Computer Assisted Target Acquisition.

For close-range encounters with infantry or light vehicles, the Ghoul also packs a .50 caliber machine gun.

On the opposite side are two radar-guided Hawk Missiles. These ground to ground missiles are usually only mounted on medium mechs, but the Ghoul’s slightly taller than normal legs allow them to be used effectively.

On the rear of the mech is a powerful C-32 communications array, which also houses the Ghoul’s MTLS/D-335 missile scrambler. Also mounted on the rear is the Ghoul’s Vengeance Tactical Nuclear Weapon.

Inside the cockpit, the pilot has access to a number of readouts, including camera feed, live view of the battle from orbiting satellites, and the locations of nearby friendly units.

Okay… well now that I’m done with the military stuff, I have to say this was a lot of fun to work on. It took me a bit of hassle, especially on the legs, but I think it was worth it. I have to credit my brother on this one. At first I was going to just have a solid cockpit, but he insisted that I make it able to fit a minifig. After a bit of work, I hit upon a good design, which is basically what it has now.

And here's a first: a stat table!

Quoting Nick Shelton I wish you'd come back. :(
Sorry I've been gone. Real life was being too difficult for me to do much. I may come back eventually, but right now I don't even have much to post. 10/10/10 I now have two MOCs photographed, and three more ready to be photographed, but am suffering problems with my camera that has the already photographed MOCs on it. I'll have it ironed out by the end of November, hopefully.

Man I am sad I just now saw this. One of the very best battle mechs I have ever seen.

Arandos Design Industries is proud to announce the imminent release of the LCW-96A NE Ghoul Battlewalker. The CSE is currently planning to retire the LCW-96 in favor of the newer version. (Translation: I wasn't completely satisfied with this mech, and will post an advanced version. Depending on which one people like better, this one will be deleted soon after I post the second one.)

I see a very good walker here! Your brother was right to get you to make an actual cockpit for a minifigure. Great Work, I'd be happy to see more from ya!
