Until I make a non-mini V-wing (look under my starfighters section) This has to start with scene 2.
Scene:D4:Hey, you OK.
A8:No, your one of the Deltaís arenít you.
D4:Yes.(pause) Well, what's wrong, you want to talk about it?
A8:My wingmate died! (or is dead)
D4:He is in heaven, you know that donít you.
A8:You actually believe in that stuff.
D4:Ya, of course I believe in God.
A8:Ya, well you didnít have one of your squad-mates die in front of you.
D4:Hey, thatís not fair, (pause) Joe was my friend too. And I know he wouldn't want you here crying while your fellow pilots are celebrating the victory.
A8:What is there to celebrate.
D4:Well for one, we completed a mission finally.
A8:How can you be so cheery, oh wait (mimic voice) ďHeís in HeavenĒ
D4:Why donít you believe in Heaven? Or rather, in God.
A8:Because if there was a God, He wouldnít be so cruel.
D4:How is He cruel.
A8:He let Joe get killed. (pause)
D4:So he let him go home finally, thatís not cruel.
A8:And what about all the other things, the murders, the injustice, this war!
D4:Thatís because he gives beings free choice, that means they can choose to do bad or good. This can be seen in certain verses, here let me show you.
D4: First Joshua 24:15- (pause as pages flip) "But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD." Here we see the fact that God has given us choices and we can choose whatever we want. Because God gave us a choice.
A8:Ok, I see that.
D4:Then in Genesis 3:6-11,(pause as pages flip) "When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?"
10 He answered, "I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid."
11 And he said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?" See this was mans first bad choice. God told them not to eat of that one tiny trees fruit out of all the trillions of fruit out there and yet they chose to disobey. God could have just not placed the tree in the garden, but then man would not have a choice, and if we did not have a choice then we would all worship, or praise and give thanks to(or look up worship definition), God because that's all there would be. We would do it because we had to not because we wanted to.
So if he did stop the bad then there would be no choice.
A8:Well, whatís so great about choice anyway?
D4:Do you want to be a mindless robot?
RB:I HEARD THAT!
D4:Robey, erase last 5 minutes of memory.
D4:Take Robey for example, he has to obey us and has no choice. He lives a life decided by us and has no choice to choose otherwise. He cannot create, only take what was programmed into him and say appropriate responses. However, God wants living beings, not bots, who can talk to him and create and love him because they want to, not just because they have no other choice.
A8:Well, I guess youíre right, I wouldnít want to not have a choice.
D4:So, do you still think there is no God?
A8:WellÖ, Iíll have to think about it.
D4:OK. Well, at least come and join the rest of us in the celebration, Joe would have wanted that.
