While finishing the mining site where the tectonic plates shifted to create a multi-million dollar mining site, Grandpa Jo approaches Mining Foreman Horace Goldman to ask him an important favor.
About this creation
It has taken over 15 days to only cut the multi-million credit ruby mining site in half. The Baunmaald crew is extremely satisfied with their work, however, and are going the extra mile, again, to finish this thing off quickly and take a small break for a few days.
Some of the mining crew have already spent a small portion of their bonus credits which were instantly transferred to them five days ago. But right now the money means nothing. Only when the site is entirely cleared are they able to spend their worth as they wish.
Some of the weaponry and equipment featured may be from one of the following: BrickForge, BrickArms, or The Little Arms Shop.
Sorry the picture quality is a lot worse than my other posts. I've misplaced my 10 megapixel camera, maybe permanently and had to use a 6 megapixel camera.

As usual Horace pondered how today would go. While watching his crew work he had one of those awkward feelings about him, and he couldn't place why he was feeling that way.
The MEGAlodus Mining crew on Baunmaald was working hard as usual. With his blasters on full, one of the heavy miners continued to reveal rubies on this rare site find.
It is incredible to have mined at such a site, and one like this will probably be hard to come by again.
Around the corner the work continues. Not a single crew member is still. They are all working so that they can have a few days off, but they don't get that until the site is completely cleared.
Even the AHM-626 Pilot, Jackson, is gladly helping by using a buzz-saw with an attached acid canister for easy removal of the rubies.
And as usual Isaac, the hardest working of them all is giving it his best to get rid of this site so he can relax for a while. He can just imagine himself with a glass of Shing-Pa during his break while he relaxes at the local resort. Rumor has it there will be a shipment of Shing-Pa coming in to a nearby city, but he hasn't heard anything from Grandpa Jo. Apparently there has been a large demand for Orba flowers so Chewie Valdez, Grandpa Jo's horticulturist, had decided to plant quite a few more of those Orba bushes instead of Shing-Pa plants. It may be harder than Isaac thought to get a hold of a good drink this time of year.
Even Gonzo, a nickname derived from Speedy Gonzalez for his excessive speeds when crossing the desert, was pitching in to get the site done quicker. He liked using a custom made blend of acid along a long pole to get the rubies down from up high.
Overlooking the site was Captain Ra. The trio of Marines had recently finished their patrol around the site, and now they decided to stick close to the site to protect the crew from any attacks. Captain Ra was also waiting for Lieutenant Sobek to come back to the site. Lieutenant Sobek took the credits he recently earned and went to go buy some new weaponry, a ride, and some ammunition. Lt. Sobek wasn't very pleased with his last set of equipment and thought it was time for a change.
Next to him was Lieutenant Anubis who was caught up in his own thoughts. He knew that they would be able to move on soon. He didn't like the fact that this site was taking so long and that there were no signs of movement from the deserts of Kharak. Those raiders do not like that the MEGAlodus Mining Company is not paying them tribute like most of the city-states on the planet Baunmaald. The armies of the local cities, more like poorly trained militia, are no match for that band of roving yahoos! So it was no wonder he was uneasy knowing the Kharakian Raiders hadn't been heard from in a while.
In the middle of Horace's pondering his helmet chimed in. He had a special transmission incoming from Grandpa Jo.
Horace: "This is Horace."
Grandpa Jo: "Horace, I need to speak to you about an urgent matter. I'm on my way to your site in my jeep. I'm sorry to bother you in the middle of the day, but this cannot wait. I'll see you soon."
Horace was puzzled and very concerned. What on Baunmaald could Grandpa Jo need from him, a Mining Foreman?
Sure enough, about 10 minutes later, Grandpa Jo showed up in his jeep.
He parked it near Horace's speeder and turned it off.
He deftly hopped out of the cabin and approached Horace.
Horace went to meet Grandpa Jo.
Horace: "Grandpa Jo, it is good to see you again. I'm a little concerned about you...is everything okay?"
Grandpa Jo: "Horace, I have a very important mission I need your elite team of Marines to perform for me. This mission will only take place in an extreme situation of emergency."
Grandpa Jo: "You see I have a shipment of videos produced on old film, to not be as traceable, that will fuel the rebellion on the planet Ikenda IV. It needs to get to the spaceport in Kharakbul without the videos being compromised. The Kharak Desert is a very dangerous place. Heat, the time to travel across it, and the Kharakian Raiders are all problems my crew will come across. Unfortunately the quickest way to Kharakbul is through the desert itself."
Grandpa Jo: "This is where you come in. I have part of my crew coming in to this site any minute now. They will give you a quick update on where they will be going. I need your men to track their expedition and respond to any distress calls they send out."
Grandpa Jo: "It is a crucial time for the people of Ikenda IV, and although I do not like to instigate war I'm afraid if nothing is done then the people of Ikenda IV will become suppressed as they always have been and the rulers will look to Baunmaald for more slaves because they had to kill so many of their own. The Kharakian Raiders will surely be more than happy to capture more of the locals around here in densely populated cities such as Ahgrahk and sell them to the rulers on Ikenda IV."
While Grandpa Jo was explaining the mission, Horace caught something in the corner of his eye. It was unfamiliar and coming their way fast.
Horace then realized it was Lieutenant Sobek in his new equipment.
Lt. Sobek parked the cycle next to Grandpa Jo's jeep and got off.
Lt. Sobek: "Horace...Grandpa Jo, it's nice to see both of you again. Sorry I took so long to get back."
Horace: "Wow that is some nice equipment. Where did you get it?"
Lt. Sobek: "Well with the money I earned mining with you guys for a while I went to Kharakstan and bought the equipment from an arms dealer. I made sure it wasn't bugged or being tracked, and I tested both guns and adjusted their sights. I'm pretty satisfied and can't wait to see how they perform."
Grandpa Jo: "Well you may get to use it sooner than you may like, but let Horace explain that later."
Lt. Sobek: "Right, I'll check in with you later about what Grandpa Jo is talking about Foreman."
Captain Ra (comlink): "That's some nice equipment Lt. Sobek, why don't you come show your buddies?"
Lt. Sobek (comlink): "You bet, I'll be right there."
Gonzo even stopped working to admire the marine walking by. A new aura of confidence seemed to be about Lt. Sobek.
Lt. Sobek: "Hey guys! How've you been while I was out? Hope you didn't scare all the Kharakian Raiders away!"
Captain Ra: "Wow, it looks like you strapped a whole ammo depot to yourself! What kind of weaponry did you get?"
Lt. Sobek: "Well I got this Kharakstan Commander's pistol first. I noticed it right away, and when I asked the dealer how he came across it, he wouldn't tell me. To make it even better I added a laser sight to it for better accuracy."
Lt. Sobek: "I then came across this medium range assault rifle. It can be set to single, burst, or full auto firing when I need to vary my style. The knife was something I've been wanting to finally add to my inventory since I haven't used it since our training on Domega."
Captain Ra: "It looks like you've put a lot of thought into your decisions. That is exactly what we want in this crew."
Lt. Anubis: "On a more serious note, I've heard that Grandpa Jo has asked Horace to give us an important mission involving the current rebellion on the nearby planet of Ikenda IV."
Captain Ra: "The rebellion on Ikenda IV must not fail. We'll be out of a job or dead if it does."
Jackson decided to not let the conversation nearby him distract him from his work. He knew he should move on to another side of the site.
Isaac was still hacking at the rock to get the rubies out. Although work was his first priority, he couldn't help getting a little paranoid about all the talk about war and slavery.
Grandpa Jo: "Horace, this is a crucial moment for the planet Baunmaald. I didn't expect the war on Ikenda IV to be so important to our planet. Obviously someone is paying big money to see the ruling emperors get overthrown, or I would have no need for all the rush and urgency."
Horace: "Grandpa Jo, I've seen nothing lately in the MEGAlodus advisories about this war and it getting so out of hand. Usually war is published at least in the travel directories so that tourists don't get caught up in them and killed."
Grandpa Jo: "Listen, I know it sounds ridiculous but the ruling emperors have also paid big money for large corporations to keep their mouths shut and their hands out of the war. There's no incentive to publish anything if the emperors can continue to abuse the local populace by paying off the good guys! Horace, we're going through with this no matter what. We need this rebellion to succeed. You can't say no to me and I know you won't because inside you are torn. You are too much of a good guy, and this time it is better that you are."
Horace: "Alright! Alright...You are right. Even though I don't want to be involved in this war it is better for us that we get the rulers overthrown. Besides with the rebellions success, the Kharakian Raiders will also suffer from a lack of extra income to purchase better equipment and spread their propaganda around."
Grandpa Jo: "You'll get 300,000 credits for this mission and you may not have to do anything. My crew works very well together and they are pretty well armed. Remember, you only will be involved if there is an emergency. My data-pad says that Aayla and her driver will be here in 5 minutes. She'll give you the route coordinates and any checkpoints they will stop at."
So as the crew continues to mine and rumors of trouble with the Kharakian raiders spreads throughout the site, Horace tries to figure out how to keep his crew and the entire operation on Baunmaald safe without jeopardizing the rebels on Ikenda IV.
