The Covenant Ghost Bike, possibly the most classic Covvie vehicle from the Halo games.
About this creation
The Ghost in Halo: Combat Evolved was absolutely awesome. It was even more fun to drive than the Warthog, which is saying a lot. It had this incredible floaty feeling to it that made driving it extremely enjoyable. You could strafe almost as fast as you could move forwards, and the plasma cannons looked and sounded awesome. The main flaw was that because it floated so high and loosely, it was incredibly hard to run over any of your enemies in single player, though they always seemed to be able to run over you just fine.
But alas, all good things must come to an end. In Halo 2, the Ghost hardly felt like it hovered any more. I could almost see the rails it must run along. It doesn't bob up and down, its strafing is horrible, and it moves much more slowly, unless you boost in which case you can't fire and it has virtually zero manouevrability. Even without boosting its manoeuvrability is still severely limited. It lost all that made it cool, so I hardly ever use Ghosts anymore. The plasma cannons are more accurate (until your vehicle gets damaged) and possibly more powerful, but they don't look or sound nearly as cool. And the fact that it is far easier to run your foes down hardly makes up for all the flaws.

My Ghost is based quite a lot on Sabre-Scorpion's design, though it's still vastly different. I spent forever looking for an original hood design that captured the curvature of the Ghost, and preferably came up in front of the driver's face like in the game. I couldn't find one, and then I spotted the piece on the front of my Spectre (which had been built for a while, though I still haven't uploaded it yet), and I suddenly had an idea. After that, it all went rather smoothly. I built a wrongly coloured version on Lego Digital Designer, ordered the correctly coloured parts from BrickLink, and then built her.
She turned out wonderful. This design is sleek, smooth, compact and studless (no, the stud on the round thing doesn't count, nor do those on the back of the holographic display). It's about the right size too - and accurate in almost every detail. The main things that could use improvement are the plasma cannons and the very back of the vehicle.
Most of the Ghosts I've seen on the 'net have been red, but, like Sabre-Scorpion, I feel the Ghost's purple is closer to dark blue than red (although it seems to me that if you turn your graphics down on Halo 1 the Ghosts look more red). I gave it purple highlights, as an acknowledgement to its proper colour and also because they make it look awesome.

It's seen in these pictures being piloted by my Elite Zealot (though I can't remember the Zealots ever piloting Ghosts in the games). I reckon the Zealot's gold armour goes the best with the Ghost out of any other Elite colour. The contrast between gold and dark purple (or blue in this case) makes for a very nice effect.

A view that you often see in Halo 2 multiplayer, and if it's this close and you haven't jumped yet, you're pretty much screwed.

Banshee-eye view. BTW, the Ghost can also seat regular minifigs, my Grunt, and my prototype wrongly-coloured Brute which I haven't uploaded yet, but I forgot to take pictures.
