Risen: Chapter 10- Tensions
Previously: After seeing Arsem resurrected, Irrek fled to the mountains, where he found a library full of black books just like the one his father destroyed.
About this creation
Music for this chapter:

Irrek walked out of the dark hallway...

and called for his horse.

On top of the building, Demel and a troll watched him below.

Troll: What are we waiting for? Lets have his head and be done with it!

Demel: I dont think thats a good idea. We dont know whats in this building, and the boy seems... different now. I sense something changed him inside the building. I can feel an energy coming from his presence.

We'll wait for another chance, when we have a greater advantage.

Back at Mirum, Ache and Irrek arrived at the same time.

Irrek: Good to see you're still alive. Did you get the lotus?

Ache raised the plant for Irrek to see.
Irrek: Good... Im afraid I bring ill news. I found the portal your brother spoke of and...
Ache: What is it?
Irrek: Arsem has returned.

Ache: How can this be?
Irrek: The leader of those trolls must have used the portal to-
Ache and Irrek stopped at the sight before them.

Irrek: What happened here?
Gaurd: The prisoner escaped sir. He was too powerful for us.

Blew the door right out of the house he did. The Alchemist was working on something when it happened.

Irrek ran inside to find the house destroyed and the Alchmeist lying on the floor.

He turned to Irrek and spoke wearily to him: He was too powerful. We couldnt stop him.
Irrek: Where has he gone?
Alchemist: He spoke of his mission in Ferlon. Something about his master and some caverns to the east, beyond the wall. Do you have the lotus?
Irrek: We have it.

Alchemist: Drop it into the bucket outside, then the cure will be complete.

With that last word, the Alchemists body went limp.

Ache dropped the Frost Lotus into the mixture.

Irrek walked out carrying an empty vial.

Irrek: There we are. Good to go.

Ache: Great, now lets head to Ferlon before its too late.

Irrek: No, we need to find Arsem first.

Ache: But hes my brother! We have to help him!

Irrek: And we will help him, just not yet. Arsem is a more immediate threat and you need to come with me in case things go wrong. I need you Ache.

Ache: Very well... "sire".

Awesome chapter! Some REAL character is really welcome. Anger and fear is really great in a fantasy comic. Oh, and MEP, THAT'S MY LINE!!!!! ;D

Wow, tensions are rising. Extremely good chapter. The music (as always) fit perfectly for the chapter. As always, I can't wait to see what happens next.

ME LIKEY!! Oh boy I knew something like this was gonna' happen. NOw Ache is overcome by emotion, my prediction that Irrek has magic is either now spot on, or he's tainted by entering an Ancient's building with such power. You were right, the next few chapters will good. Oh yeah, and ju,ping LordLego436 to the gun here: YEEESSSS!!!! POST MORE!!! Not to sound ungrateful or anything... MEP
