The AeroDyne 13 K1, known by its pilots and most ESC personnel as the Arrow, due to the shape of its foreward Fuselage. This Heli-hover is specifically designed for anti-mecha combat, and can go toe to toe with most modern mecha, even the latest Katana Series.
About this creation
Powered by two powerful turbofan engines, the Arrow is able to reach top speeds of 115 miles per hour. The Engines are capable of rotating in place to aide with manueverablity.
Both Ducted fans connected to the Trubofan engines can manuever 90 degrees away from the craft, giving the Arrow unprecedented ability to dodge incoming fire. The armor used on the Arrow is comparable to that used on the Katana Series and therefore can take tremdous punishment.
The Arrow's weapon compliment consists of three miniguns that can fire seperately or in tandem, two anti-armor rifles that have been scaled down to fit into the Arrow's stubby "wings", eight Anti-armor rockets, and 2 Anti-Mecha Missiles. The Arrow also carries a number of flares and other devices for preventing missile and anti-air lockons.
Being a heavy heli-hover gunship, the Arrow's main mission profile is to provide troop support, much in the way that helicopter gunships do today. They move in, cover the troops, batter any armor or mecha that might be in the area, and then provide longterm support until rearming is required.
That is a very neat design. I like how you got the fans attached to the body, that's always a tricky part for me. The detail on the tail is nicely done. Maybe focus more on streamlining the belly and weapons. To bad Lego doesn't make those fans in some more colors, a swirled red and white one would look awesome. Thanks for your comments on my other stuff and I really like the Exo-Force theme you got going on.
