Welcome to day two of my halloween mocathon! I know this isn't really related to halloween but i thought it looked creepy enough for this. This is yet another moc for my Mass Extinction theme. It is a military robot called the RS-17 Dune Drone. After the terrorbyte virus was sent out, these robots were one of the infected models. This particular robot is called The deserter because it was once followed by two more dune drones but they were taken out by the survivors and The Deserter abandoned the other two instead of trying to return them to base like it was once programed to do, thus earning the nickname from the locals, The Deserter. It was brought to my attention a while ago that i haven't added the next part of the story yet so here it is!
Jeremy Young (AKA the hacker)was infected with the super disease for a full year which makes him one of the first to get the disease and one of the last to die from it. By the sixth month he had become extremely depressed and thought it was unfair that the humans and animals were suffering and the robots that served them were not. So he began writing the Terrorbyte virus to make them suffer as much as he was. When he eventually died, a sensor on his chest sent a signal to his computer telling it that his heart had stopped and it was time to unleash the virus.
Although not all robots were affected by the virus, some of the most dangerous were. Military robots such as the RS-17 Dune Drone are just one of the infected models.
As the years past, More and more survivors of the super disease started popping up around the globe. It is believed that only 200 humans had a natural immunity to the disease and survived the pandemic. These humans are now in a fight for survival again because of the monsters that Jeremy Young created.
Well, that is part two and there is more to come so stay tuned! And my halloween mocathon will continue tomorrow with yet another halloween moc!
Interesting use for the chairs. I would never have thought to use them on feet. I instead use them for hands, specific for construction models. You're right, this is very creepy. I'm not sure I would want to fight even on its side.
An awesome, original looking mech with some nice parts usage. I just want to pick you up on paragraphing, I like to read all (well, most) of a MOC's description and this is just easier when it's broken down into paragraphs, rather than just one big block of text. Oh, and cool idea with the week of halloween MOCs.
