Here it is: My first vignette! I chose to make a Browning M2 .50 caliber machine gun because...well... why the heck not! the "Ma Deuce" as it's fondly reffered to, has been in the U.S military's arsenal for more than half a century, so why not pay tribute to it! Please comment, rate and enjoi. i may post instructions for anyone who wants them.
About this creation
Well now, here we have a soldier manning his post with the famous .50. it's a thing of beauty, ain't it?
As you can see, i chose to snot what i could with the vig. However, i just couldn't do anything about the rocks and the foot stud.
Rear view of the vig. This may be a good time to add that the vig is 12 bricks wide by 10 bricks long. pretty good size i think.
Aother rear shot of the vig. Don't know why i took two pictures from behind...
Now onto the gun. here it is separtated from the tripod. i chose to use Aquaraiders spearguns for the legs, and to my luck, they came out to be just the perfect size in comparison to the gun.
Picture down the side of the barrel. Note the cocking handle. I wanted to add as much detail to the gun as I could, Ergo the handle.
Snapshot of the rear of the gun. Again with the detail, I tried to make the trigger handles look as close to the real thing as i could, so this is what i came up with. Also in the picture is the 250 round "tombstone" ammunition box.
Overall, I am very pleased with how the gun turned out, and i don't plan on taking it apart any time soon. I'm even more pleased that I finally got to upload the darn thing. Yay for me!
this is excellent! the gun itself is great. you really show talent in applying so much detail with few parts. Also, you dont even mention that the whole base of your scene is SNOT! and, as a matter of fact, its one of the better SNOT or at least semi-SNOT scenes I've seen. they usually look bad. great job!
I like it
