A teaser pic from when my entry was not ready. BTW, this is the rear. ;-P

Regis Wilburn, President of Interspatial Research and Regulation Association
Yes, that crack pot and his, ah, "Exploding Starfish" are a catastrophe in the making. Our think tanks have concluded that the super string is not a rubber band. Stretching it will result in the implosion of this galaxy. That is not something that we are willing to risk.

IVA Ranger Mk4 robot
This is a popular service robot for spaceships. It does EVA repairs for the Professor while in the depths of space. The interface has not changed much from the original anger NBV.

Professor Malcolm Tyrestrian is the apparent creator of the Tachyon Compression Ram Drive. He appears to have a great deal of technical knowledge. However, his mental stability is sporadic. After several minutes, he will sidetrack into a tirade:

Malcom Tyrestrian
The return was greater than my highest hopes. ... All the Jedi are going to die in one night. ... Hee, hee! Wilburn was wrong. I stretched it forward and it snapped me even farther. ... Beware! Senator Palpatine is the ultimate evil. ... I never played with something solid in the field. ... Jar Jar Binks, he can't exist. He can't. ... All realities are connected by string theory. ... This is just Lucas' fictional reality. I'm going to wake up. ... Can I have that droid as my friend?

Apparently, his pilot, Joe Vig, pushed the Launch button when he said “Joe, its time for lunch.” The ship was pointed at his home planet and entered its tachyon pull state before impact. The planet provided so much mass to the drive, that the ship was catapulted to this galaxy. After meeting a Jedi, his mind snapped. Joe Vig left shortly after this to search for the mysterious Jar Jar Binks.

With a few modifications, it looked like the Serenity from FireFly.

A service robot so exit from the cockpit is not necessary.

Closed to protect the collector. I like how well the yellow is hidden.

Bottom shot showing the robot and closed landing gear

The cockpit is cramped with controls like a Gemini rocket capsule.

In flight shot. Of course, aerodynamics disappear because the cockpit sticks up. Should see sensors on cockpit and compressed energy stream (twisted rubber band) under the windscreen piece.

This hinge lets the nose lock up.

Landed with engine tucked under for protection. Cockpit top lifts up and slightly too side and even has cargo space. The model is unstable though. The engine supports 4 star wars laser cannons with one stud. The cockpit has too much weight for four studs of connection. There are few hard spots to pick it because these are surrounded by a house of plates.

   Open and ready.

The Starfish shot. Should have not put yellow on the flight wings.

The joints of the bottom wings took the most time to figure out how to fit rotation and two bends in the space available.

A shot of the rear when open.

I like how it resembles a Robotech mecha in hover mode.

4/4/06 It is not supposed to be a mech, just in a midstate of opening the energy collectors.

I love how it looks like a completely different ship when it opens up.

It looks best in its star form, like the write up. Also how do you get pictures that big and with the writing on your page?
