This vig features Cpt. Renalds and his squad during the battle of Solstis-5. It is meant to tie into Ultramarine Skivers "Of Saints and Angels". The battle occured between the C.O.P. and TPC. The C.O.P. launched a powerful bombing campaign to level opposition, along with a joint ground force. The TCP's defenses were limited to twenty fighters and a small battalion of ground forces. The underground hanger had only one ground entrance, and faced the brutal onslaught of the C.O.P. ground forces.
About this creation
Shielding his eyes from a nearby blast, this anti-armor soldier takes careful aim so as to not waste any ammunition.
This trooper was armed with a high caliber machine gun, and helped thin the enemy advance.
These past three shots have shown the debris that was strewn from the heavy barrage of the C.O.P. bombers.
Here is Cpt. Renalds taking cover behind the durable armored wall. Although you cannot see it, he is holding a walkie-talkie, to order a strafing run from some of the fighters. The battle was considered a defeat, but the evacuation of the facility went mostly well, losing only one transport. The defense of the ground entrance bought the evacuees enough time to sabotage the facility and safely escape. The ground battalion took heavy loses, but managed to deal impressive damage to the C.O.P. advance.
Kinda hard to see in this pic, is a sniper coming up from the underground barracks, to give the defenders more covering fire.
Short staffed, even engineers were called to aid in the defense. Here we see one engineer coming from within the facility with his grenade launcher.
Thats funny :-)
I like this MOC not that much because of what you build but because of how you make the scenary including the quality of the photos and the light surrounding.
There is much tension in it.
I like the use of pieces on the guns, it makes them more real looking. I also like how, and I'm not sure if you did or didn't mean to do this, the camera lighting is dim so it seems gloomy and drear. Very nice!
WOW!!!! Great tie-in! You are amazingly intuitive, I was going to say that even the aircrews were called on to fight, though I didn't include that. Good going! Hoping to see more from you in the future!
