Here's one for the Ford fans! While I'm not a huge fan of Ford myself, I think the Mustang is dangerously cool. So now, I present my LEGO version, which I've built as accurately as I can. With the help of a diecast replica, of course.
About this creation
I think the back is a bit bulky, though. The rear window almost says "Camaro" to me. What do you guys think?
On a different note, I think the front turned out quite nicely.
Comin' at ya!
Here's the chassis! Lately, the chassis designs on some of my cars have been pretty similar. Hopefully, I'll be able to try something different in the future.
Let's see what's underneath now.
Again, this is as close as I could get to the replica I used.
Anyone care to see what powers this classic?
The only engine I have that's more realistic than this one is in my Chevelle, I think.
You gotta love those Detroit V8's.
And the opening trunk, of course.
It's a great place to hide a couple of AK-47's!
The rim design, in case you were interested.
Ford versus Chevy! We've got the makings of an epic street race here!
Finally, I'm running out of red pieces.
Well, that's all for now. As always, I'm open for comments and suggestions. I hope you enjoyed your visit, and thanks for viewing!
I gotta give you props for those two diagonal supports under the hood. They are a pony detail overlooked by some builders, such as myself. But you gotta get those side body-lines in there! The profile is good but it lacks that telltale C-shape body line. I know it's a small scale to do so with, but others on Mocpages have. I'd love to see the three light taillights out back, but for the scale, you're doing what you can. Nice work.
As always; simple but very good : ) Just enough detail and opening features to mark this out from the rest. I agree with the post below about the back though; It's either not quite short enough for the saloon, or tapered enough for the fastback. Overall a really nice model from you again, you're probably the most consistantly good builder on MOCpages!
Nice job, but I have to admit, that there isn't much new. I mean - it's basicly the same as your Chevy. Even you said that the back screems 'Camaro'. So, I'm just being honest, what's what I think about it.
Wow! Amazing job here Nate! This is definitely one of your best cars so far! There are to many good things to point out, but I'll give a try anyways ;) Firstly, I want to tell you how perfect the engine is: when I saw that picture, my mouth opened in awe, honest! I love the techniques used in there. Also, excellent idea on the rims! At first I thought that was a piece I never knew about... Contrary to your opinion, I like how the back end looks better than the front end. It just the details that make it: the "pony badge", the lights, etc. One suggestion though: how about taking a little risk? What I mean to say is that it would be great to see a little more SNOT and some other new techniques used in your cars. Then you could capture the some of the minor details, such as the diminutive fins on the ol' Mustang. Just a suggestion for for the future... *takes a breath* Man, I feel like Raphy! Writing foot-long comments :D Great job here, and keep it up my friend!
