This is an imagined refit of the original Federation class Dreadnought. I was inspired by a computer generated one by another member here.

About this creation

I constructed a version of the refit Enterprise years ago. I was looking at other lego ships here and was inspired to do a ship that was in Franz Joseph's Star Fleet Technical Manual. While the Federation class dreadnoughts never saw screen time, by conjecture they are part of the Star Trek universe, and likely refitted along with the Constitution class ships. However, the Excelsior class ships took over the role of the Federation class ships. It is a cool ship and I like the look of it. There is room for improvement in the lego design, but I think its a fairly good representation. I consider this similar to the U.S.S. Star Empire, an experimental dreadnought class ship presented in the novel "Dreadnought."
