Custom AT-AT (All Terrain Armored Transport)
Custom AT-AT walker made from Clone Turbo Tank and 4 AT-ST (I think) Scout Walkers... you know, the silly looking walkers from Episode III?
About this creation
This idea sprouted after not buying the original AT-AT (it looks flimsy and cheap to me) and seeing the potential of the otherwise silly Clone Turbo Tank. By potential, of course, I mean good parts, good minifigs, useless set (I still have all the wheels just sitting in a bin). So I splurged on this set, got a cool Mace Windu Light-up lightsaber, never actually built the Turbo Tank, and got starting on my legwork.

Here she is in all her finished product glory... I wish I had a piece count for this. You can check out closer pictures of the feet and legs on Brickshelf.

Front view. This is done in minifig scale, and I measured it so the actual snowspeeder sets can fly under the body, in between the legs. You know, if Legos could fly...

Head shot. Imagine this in all gray. Think AT-AT. Think WOW... think how much you like color better. Or don't.

Head shot from above. Lots of firepower on this thing.

Inside cockpit (head). Clone troopers, Stormtroopers... big difference, I know. I just can't afford two whole armies.

Inside head and reactor chamber in neck. This was in the original Turbo Tank, just extended and modified slightly for my purposes.

Front body. Both sides are identical so I just chose to photo this side. Lots of detail and layers of armor.

Rear body. Again, armor, detail... I just liked how it looks.

Upper front view. The window is the driver's hatch. This makes the people inside the front cockpit like assistant pilots and gunners or whatever else you can think of to call the people obviously not driving this thing...

   Upper rear view. More firepower.

Inside the driver's hatch. The helmet is a melted (yes, melted) and painted old style Castle helmet on a Blacktron I body. I couldn't think of anything better, and I'd rather try my own customs than rip off some other people's. Though I am sometimes inspired to try and copy other people. It's never the same though.

Inside the body. This holds the original gun turret from the Turbo Tank, plus 4-6 Clone/Stormtroopers and the aerial wings from the set. There are two Battle Droids inside instead of the extra 2 troopers because... like I said before, I can't afford armies. Under the door (on this side, but I don't think it can be seen) is a blue lightsaber. You know, for Luke to use when he climbs up under this thing to blow it up?.

Rear view. There's the forward motion engines.

Rear legs showing part of the underside. These were custom made and don't identically match the front ones. These alone took about a week to get the look right.
Rear feet. You can see the parts from the AT-ST scout walkers. The feet were actually the last thing I did. You should have seen the stubs I had before these...
Front feet. Almost, but not quite the same as the rear ones. Same sets though.
Front legs. More AT-ST pieces.

Awesome, wicked and sick as. That is so cool. The legs, the body and the head-cockpit thing at the front of every AT-AT is great the only thing that could be fixed is to put Stormtroopers in the head of the AT-AT is stead of clones. Anyway, keep up the great work.

hey i like it but i dont like how you said you didnt build the Clone Turbo Tank first. I have it and its awesome. It doesent take long to build and you can take it apart easily.

It has a lot of potential, but it looks like you threw on a lot of guns and dark red plates. If you make another one make the color scheme more organized, lessen the amount of guns while beefing up the ones you want to keep, and take off the engines.
