Outpost Tower, 1123 A.D. Just another dull day for the guards who again have left their post. It's not like two lackadaisical men in armor can stop an army from invading the kingdom.
About this creation
This is my first crazy attempt into the realm adequately called "Classic Castle". Not perfect, but a good start for a beginner who really isn't yet a castle aficionado. (Should I stop using big words? No, that would be an atrocity, on the contrary.) And please, ignore the troublesome dates on the pics. Maybe I should just blemish them out with Iphoto before I upload them.
So as the very formal insignia of the ancient empire gleams in the afternoon light of.... The camera, here is a quick tour of this desolate rock slab in the Timbucktoo of wide open plains.
You see, the door doesn't REALLY open all the way unless you want it to get stuck. If you do open it, you have to take the roof off, shove your hand down the shaft, and shut it manually. So you won't find any pictures of the interior, also due to the factor of ugliness. Sorry.
The walls don't change much, just a repeating pattern of gray bricks of different colors reaching up, with 1x1 round bricks at the corners. Just to jazz it up.
And here's the final picture in which you can see how I made the balcony. Just 4 basic ladders all attached to each other. Works well enough for me because all my fences and rails are in my Ion Base.
I hope you liked this tiny installment of a castle! (I just added the commentary to add some pizzazz to it.)
