Supreme Tahu
My entry for the Bionicle Display revamp contest. Not much, i know, but I tried to retain the feel of the original Toa, kept them Glatorian scale, which is already much bigger than the original Tahu!
About this creation
Tahu is posing for his picture! The flame sword worked so well for this, perfect scale! I used pieces from Ackar, Malum, and my own Toa Leonix to build this

"What you want fool?!" This is a revamp of my favorite character, and lego is ending the Bio-line, so I figured I would post a lot of pictures.

Can't you just hear the Mission Impossible music playing right now? Shoot I actually don't know how to add music to a page, any who can tell me? The background for this was actually two cutting boards, one on the ground, one against a wall, that i hauled outside, so as to get better lighting. In some pictures you can see bits of grass, whoops!

A truly awesome picture of the Toa of fire, it reminds me of a Hordika! I know that there is a good reason why Lego is ending the line, but i still want to rant about it: WHY IS LEGO ENDING IT?!!!

You would not like to meet this guy in a dark alley...heck you wouldn't want to meet him anywhere!

"Why!!!!" Tahu says, "Why must they end it?!!!"

Well that about wraps it up, not much more to say! Does it have a chance at winning? Heck no, but it was fun to make! I hope you liked it, please comment and rate, I welcome criticisms, the help me improve!

they ended the line because the glatorians killed the line. but between glatorians and hero factory, i'd taken glatorians. awesome revamp of the coolest toa of fire.

This is a really good moc, the armour really gives him that "Firery" look to it unlike tahu mistika.....

Quoting MisterTurtle IV How in the name of cheeseballs do people know that Lego is ending Bionicle? They said it would end in 2008 (they being rumor-spreaders). Okay, now, is it just a two-year "Bionicle is ending omg :(" thing? Seriously? The truth is, Lego makes too much money off Bionicle products to discontinue it- that would be shooting itself in the foot... but thats just me. Nice MOC, BTW. Looks a lot like Tahu should.
Well Lego sent out a letter stating very matter of factly that they are ending the line... And they are starting up Ben 10 to replace it...so there is solid proof...not to mention that the Stars are basically Tribute sets, to go out with a "bang".

Quoting Harvey Cu I certainly liked the flaming shoulder effect of your tahu version. I think he looks much better and exotic than the Tahu star. I would however improve the three points. First of all, the grey hand color doesn't seem to match. a red or orange hand would have been better. Second, I would have improved the torso to make it more humanoid proportion to his limbs. Third, the sword is not bad however I would have improved it more to make it very distinct. Overall, its still a great Tahu rendition. I would have made Tahu myself however, I don't have his mask.
Yeah...I don't have any red or orange hands, have plenty of white, green, blue, even yellow, but unfortunately no read or orange! I actually thought about the hand problem too, but there isn't really a remedy for that. The limbs/torso problem is something I need to work on, you're right, thanks! I tried to keep the flame sword just that, the flame, to mirror the original! Thanks though, I'll work on it, but I'll keep this version for the contest!

Terrific! I've seen a lot af Tahu revamps (I'm actually making one myself for the contest) but this one is very good! Also notable is that it sticks with the Inika build and doesn't have more armor than an official set. Lego could release this! Why didn't they? Not only could it be an acdtual set, it tops the Tahu Star.

even if you did meet him in a dark alley, it wouldn't be dark for long! great job!

It's a nice playable figure. I like the flames on his shoulders, and I have always preferred his original or Nuva mask. However, I would have liked to see some orange and black somewhere on him, and no dark red. Not the way I would have done him, but it's still a nice representation of everyone's favorite Toa of Fire. Nice work.
