It floats, it's got frogs, and it's technically a Mech. It's just a tank short of being perfect.
About this creation
This is my little glorified tool kit seen in 'Aboard the Frogrimedes'. The only changes are the manipulator is now a little more substantial.
Type of the devil, and the devil shall appear! Here it is. Personally I think it looks far more functional this way. And it looks like it could as least crush a monkey's windpipe. For the most part though, it's just used to pick up refreshment trays from the Mess Deck. And booze. But mostly the refreshment trays (Hey, a frogs gotta have priorities. Why drink your problems away when you can bury them under layers of cake?)
The blow torch. By far the most useful of the variety of tools, as it can be used for maintenance, construction, torture, practical jokes, impractical jokes, and run-of-the-mill chaos. It can also be used to melt cheese for nachos.
The battery pack for this thing. It runs on an Unobtanium/Phelbotinum fuel cocktail, with just a dash of Wonderflonium thrown in for good measure. This does, however, mean the suit absolutely cannot be bounced. Under ANY circumstances. EVER.
Why would a normally space-bound maintenance suit have a crane arm? you ask. I'll tell you; 1- Things break in space. Heavy Things. These things need to be dragged around, sometimes in an environment with gravity. 2- Have you ever tried hanging a prisoner from a wall hook? It's just not the same as the panick of not having anything there to support them. 3- It makes the suit appear more useful. Kinda like the Mechadendrites for WH40K's Adeptus Mechanicus. There's really no real need for the extra mechanical arms, but it looks pretty freakin' cool.
I know, you're thinking 'A wrench on an arm? What are you smoking? How could this possibly be useful?' I'll explain. Despite all of their technological advances, frogs still rely on a simple bit of doctrine to fix most of their technology (Sensitive machines aside). That bit of doctrine is to whack the offending piece of machinery with a blunt object. A wrench makes it look more like actual engineering at work.
Ooooh! Extendy arm!
What's that you say? You'd like to order one for yourself? Well, first you have to fill out our survey in order to see where you stand with our glorious empire. Second, we'll need a credit card number. The Logisitics guys aren't gonna bribe themselves y'know. Then we'll need another credit card number to pay for the actual exosuit. And another for batteries. ... and that's not even going to cover the cost of slaying the dragon!
Whew, now that that's over, I think it's time to go. The Overseers don't appreciate me exhibiting our tech like that. Or our tax system. But that's okay. Hope you had some fun (Or at least chuckled) reading through (Or just looking at the pictures). Thanks for stopping in, and I'd be happy to take your credit- ... Comments. Ratings are welcome too!
Well now, who said whacking things in Zero G would cause a significant bounce? Besides, they're not wearing any sort of void protectant in the first place. Why start questioning my Cartoon-Science there? There are much better places to start ;)
And yes, I'm in need of a secretary. The last one didn't figure out the whole system of 'Overlords and Minions'.
Hey, sir, i can be your secretary right? so i get to have a job in this "Glorious Empire"? And i want to know where you got that wrench part. i just cant find it. oh well, but good job! and if they cant bounce at all, then why do they whack things in zero-G? IT MAKES NO SENSE!!!!
