Here are some LEGO Classic Space models. Some are originals from the 1979s catalogue and some are younger. I rebuilt the younger ones in the "Classic Space"-colors blue, old grey and the typical clear yellow. This for example is the "Schnelle Raumjäger" of LEGO 6970 "Kommando Zentrale" (Command Center) from 1981. I just built in the other colors.
About this creation
The "Raumfähre" (One Man Space Ship)! LEGO 918 - Original and used! A set of the brand-new LEGOLAND Series "SPACE" in the 1979 catalogue. My brother got it on Christmas 1979.
LEGO 924 - "Raumtransporter" (Space Transporter). My Christmas Gift 1979 and THE set of my childhood - also original and used. I loved and love it!
The "Raumkreuzer" (Space Cruiser) - LEGO 928. Felix, my best friend at primary school, got it 1979 - I was so jealous! Today I have 3 of it.
This is the "Raumfähre mit Landegleiter" (Explorer & Shuttle). Lego 6890 from 1982. The original is blue and white.
This is the "Ultraschall Transporter" (Supersonic Transporter) - LEGO 6891 - from the 1985 catalogue. It is normally built in the colors grey and black with a clear, dark green cockpit.
The "Transplanetarer Raumtransporter" (Space Transporter). LEGO 6929 from the 1984 german catalogue. Normally built in blue-white
The "Fahrbare Startrampe" - LEGO 6950 (Satellite Launcher) from the 1984 german catalogue. I just added a second yellow windscreen and some fat, soft tires. I think you will excuse this because it looks more heavy.
LEGO 920 "Raketen Abschußbasis" (Rocket Launch Pad) from 1979. It was my birthday gift 1980.
The "Raumgleiter Transporter" (Spacecraft Launcher) - LEGO 6870
I like the way you tweaked the "new" sets to look more "old style", the Gamma V Laser Craft (6891) is lovely, I'd like to do something similar in 3D, if it's ok with you I'll "borrow" some of your ideas :)
I like your collection very much. Especially the spaceships, I would like to modify them. Please check my page. We have something in common, the rocket base! Mine has broken/missing pieces but relatively complete.
Fantastic page! I had the LEGO 924 and my friend had the 928. I also had the Satellite Launcher, The Rocket Launch Pad, The Mobile Rocket Launcher, The Mobile Signals Centre and some smaller stuff. It now belongs to my kids! And it gets used every day!
That period was about the time I was building my first town, (which got roasted in a fire caused by a stupid neighbor), and I can remember using a lot of those pieces. I never put the kits together back then, just used the Legos for my own models. A lot of the canopies went on some pretty strange looking houses and apartment buildings. Unfortunately, the pictures I had also perished, so I have to rely on memory. Your Moc helps to remind me of a lot of stuff I did back then.
