'89 Keaton Batmobile (2006)
Rev up your engine and don your cape. The classic Keaton car is back in action, Batman!
About this creation

This is my first Batmobile that I've made minifig scale. I kept rebuilding constantly to keep it small yet still have enough detail. I'm happy with the results, even if its not as stud-less as I had originally intended.

Those headlights are chopped up stickers (yes, stickers) from the officially licensed Batmobile (Two-Face Escape). I had 1x1 clear pieces in there, but they just didn't have the right look.

For all those adoring fans out there who were dying to know, yes, the caped crusader fits quite comfortably into the Batmobile.

Yes, the interior is a bit utilitarian, but it's functional. What else do you need but a steering wheel and a speedometer?

And now for my next magical trick, watch as the Batmobile transforms...

...Into the Batmissile! Yes folks, that's right. What Keaton car would be complete without the ability to shed a few pounds for those tight Gotham alleyways?

Okay, okay. I know it doesn't have wheels. It was a chore just getting all those features in there is first place.

And now Michael Keaton, er, Batman bids you farewell and to remember to do your part to take a bit out of crime by giving this MOC five heads and a glowing review.

This Batmobile is so similar to the Artifex model I acquired that there has to be some connection. You must have inspired it. I dislike the wheels mine has so I went with some flat silver technic pin mounted ones but now that I see how you connected yours with technic axels I will be able to put some nicer black rims on this baby!

Goodness gracious me, so I have to ask if you have the part inventory and the build instructions. This totally brings me back, I really wish that Lego would do an official version of this Batmobile even if it doesn't split into the Batmissle. Anywho love love love it.

Wow, I can't believe that I haven't found this beauty before! It's definitely one of the best Burton Batmobile on MOCpages! And you even included the Batrocket function. Great job! :-)) It would be great to have this one (and your other Batman MOCs) in the "Bricks of Steel" group:

Great build. You've really captured the feel of the car. I also like the three part technique you used.

That's a truly awesome Batmobile. I'm really impressed by your use of wedge plates and pieces to create the curve of the fenders right beside the cockpit. It really communicates the shape of the movie vehicle that we know and love.

Beautiful! Simply stunning. I've really enjoyed your original interpretations of the Batmobile, but I love this even more. Sleek, and true to the movie car, I really like this one. One of the best LEGO Batmobiles I've had the privilege of viewing. Keep up the great work!

I can't lie, and after all this is the most accurate body for the Batman movie Batmobile I've seen to date. However I'm a bit dodgie about the head lights being stickers and the engine intake on the front aswell as the rear exhuast lack in detail. But I'm sure soon enough you'll perfect it just as well as you did with the Original Batmobile ;). TFP

Even more Batman stuff = sweet deal. Minifig scale Batmobile = priceless. I love your Model Team-esque batmobiles, but minifig scale's my scale of choice, making this my favorite of all the Dark Knight's cars you've made thus far. I for one don't particularly care for Lego's new Batmobile and feel yours surpasses it in every respect. Heck, it even comes apart! There's your glowing review and 5 smilies! : P
