Crab was my first attempt at making a six leg walker that would walk like a crab, I want to make more crab type robots in the future. This robot was just a walker, all it did was walk foward or backward. It uses the program that comes with the RCX, the one that says motor A and motor C on. Each motor controls three legs, one leg on one side (the middle) and two legs on the other side, this ends up forming a tri-pod shape. Its not my best robot but it was only my second six leg walker.
Crab was basically just a proto type for more advanced walkers down the road. Also I had not seen any crab style walkers so I thought it would be fun to build one. The biggest problem with this robot was the fact that its legs were not very strong. In fact one leg broke right after the movie ended.
