About this creation
All right, here's MOC number 2! In celebration of my joining of Group USRG, I have designed this mech. I give you, the MHL (a.k.a. the Mechanized Heavy Lifter)! This prototype, MHL-A001, has been converted from a bipedal construction mech to a well-armed scout walker. It has surprising speed and agility for a construction machine. It has been outfitted with extendable rocket launchers that are capable of firing different rocket types. Different types of rockets are equipped for different missions. The MHL also has a 65mm heavy cannon. This cannon fires five rds. per second, and their pilots aren't worried about anti-personnel overkill. However, due to frequent damage to their construction mech's lifting arms, the Corex Primary Construction Company developed arms that could be easily interchanged, for simple repair. The USRG makes use of this feature by employing these walkers for hand-to-hand combat (as it were). Lastly, the MHL has limited performance external jet rockets to propel it to places it cannot reach or obstacles it cannot easily circumvent. These rockets can boost the mech about ten to twelve meters into the air.
This is a great mech! I think it's so sad that so many people look down on those creations that are built using LDD. No one understands that it takes just as much time and creativity to build LDD as regular MOCs. BTW, this is pure awesomeness!
Nice mech! Everyone makes assault mechs and whatnot (including me) but it's quite unusual to see 'lifter' mechs. Great job. Oh, and following up on what Falcon said, Here's the link: http://www.mocpages.com/group.php/8359
