Sorry I dropped off the internet for a while. Lots and lots of homework... anyway I kept building, and there's plenty of new stuff to show you over the next couple of days.
The Battle of the Oasis was the largest clash between the Honda-Ziplok Clan and the Nomad Raiders in post-apocalyptic history. An H-Z tank company ambushed and destroyed several Nomad Landships, but every single tank was disabled in the attack. As the surviving Landships scoured the area for survivors of the ambush party, two remaining survivors, a priest-mechanik and his young acolyte, hid among the remains of several vehicles. In a desperate bid to break past the enemy blockade and return to civilization, they patched together a strange craft from the materials available; the tank track of a Landship, an engine from their assault car, and as many guns and armor plates as could be found. Two days after the ambush began, their vehicle made its escape attempt, destroying a Landship and two Attack Cycles on its way.
You can see the Priest-Mechanic's attempt to armor himself and his vehicle's engine with plating scavenged from the wreck. Clearly he hasn't put as much effort into protecting his pupil...
No safety belt or restraints for the machine gunner, but holding onto a moving vehicle by the handgrips of your gun turret is something you've learned if you live to be that old in the post-apocalyptic era.
Wow nice ! Very cool, because the great backstory really explains the look of the vehicle, which is "realistic" when you've read the story. The build is great too, very original, and funny. An excellent and unique approach of the post-apoc theme !
