I've really gotta learn how to be content with what I have. Well personal dilemmas aside, I present to you yes you, you special person, Version 3 Of my Assault truck. Please comment and rate! (And possibly wait for V.4. You and I both know that it's in the works...)
About this creation
The newly redesigned truck got a newly redesigned .50. New design, same firepower. Oh yeah.
Like V.1, and unlike V.2, I was able to find a spot for a spare tire.
The suspension is also improved. Instead of using 4 White rubber bands, I used 2 red ones. Red ones can hold more weight...
... as seen in this picture. V.2 could only hold 1 'd' battery before bottoming out. This here V.3 can hold 1 'd' battery, as well as 1 'c' battery before bottoming.
Now for the best part: Removal of several parts like the gun, gunner's platform, and side hand rails makes way for a variation:
An overhang can be added, creating a troop bay.
Here it is from the right. A gun can also be attached to the vehicle in this mode, so the vehicle isn't defenseless.
And here's the gunner. Everybody say hi.
Two troops can sit on the outside of the overhang, as shown here.
On the inside, 3 troops can sit. Add up the total troops, and this variation can haul 5 soldiers to the field.
And how do they get in and out? The tailgate swings open!
Here's a pic of a soldier exiting.
And now the special features:
It can haul a gun because of the installed tow hitch. (A feature exhibited by V.2, and not V.1.)
"So is this truck a Mercedes?" You ask, as you look at the 3 pronged thing in the front. No it isn't, it's a feature that neither of the predecessors had:
It's a zipline! From the first vehicle, I had wanted to add a zipline to it, but never could. This truck (and the usage of 5 more brain cells) produced this design feature. Now I'm happy.

Andrew - once you have created "4wd Assault Truck V. 27.65-B23" I want to know all secrets of this vehicle. thanks. haha jk
What secrets? And if I decide to reveal them (if there are any) They will be revealed on V. 28 3/4 C-12A, and filed under the folder 'Superfluous repetitive builds of one vehicle by an obsessive compulsive moccer'. In section 2A, subsection 3B, category 4, subcategory 6 under the subcategory heading named 'So you've found it...'
That is awesome. I tried to make something like that but I gave up. I think I'll give it another try though after my next moc. Or two mocs, actually. I love ziplines too, I went to Ecuador and since they don't have as many safety rules they had this awesome zipline that was really fast and when you hit the end you went up really high and almost fell off. It was awesome. This is too. ~Waff
mmm raptor feed. hahaha. smack aside though, very nice upgrade! I like the technique you used for the troop bay - i need to get me some of them black robo-looking arm thingys. the zipline is a cool touch too
