Team Juvenile Delinquents: Steampunk Category, "Six"
Not sure how it started really. I based this on a plane really. Some things I figured would make it steampunkish is the propeler on the back and the minifig would be standing, not sitting down, because he's a gentleman and needs to stand high. At first it was more helicopterish, but I decided to make it flat as it kept falling apart.
Oh, and the original concept was a hovercraft, with a hexagonal base, called Six. The idea was destroyed, but the name stayed. Let's just say that I couldn't think of anything better. =P
In any case...
The minifig is my Steampunk ambassador. He's the guy standing in all steampunk dioramas of the Kockice club (1 so far) and he needed to fly! So he designed this flyer for himself. It's powered by two small tanks of water under the wings which can almost be seen (They're there, trust me) and some coal that heats it up, making steam, that powers the propeler. Yeah, I know what you're thinking... "That's not a propeler!"
Yeah, you're right. It's a Propeler Shaped Object. Yes, you heard me right. *Runs away*
The controls control the direction of the propeler (Yeah, that thing turns...) and greebles... uhh, I mean, pipes, pump hot steam into the propeler, where some gears turn it. It's all very complicated.
Oh, and it's not very easy to control, so don't try. Heh. In any case, I'm off to steampunk another day.
