Terrorificante Triangulo Diabolico's MOC Athalon entry into Five Man Action Team catagory.
About this creation
For those of you who are cool enough to own Rick Dees' DISCO DUCK on vinyl, put it on now!!! Cos Team Terrorificante Triangulo Diabolico are putting on our favourite jumpsuits and getting our skates on. Its ROLLER DISCO TIME babies! Yeah!!!
Our team has coreographed a little dance, sit back, let the disco jive wash over ya and enjoy!
Leda: "Shake those tooshies guys!"
VYB: "Hey Pop! Shake that groove thing!"
Bones: "I'm too old for this! Oh my aching bones..."
Mark: "I'm so confused!"
Noah: "Just try your luck, its the disco duck!"
The grand finale
Here are a few pics of the set and details.
This is the dance floor.
The celing with the disco ball.
The full night club set.
The rotating strobe lights.
Some tables for your drinks. Its thirsty work dancing on roller skates.
I used lots of trans pieces to illustrate the multitude of lights at a night club and "old school" disco.
Meet the team members, each in jumpsuits and skates of their favourite colour:
I just gotta say, we are a pretty awesome team! Even ole Bonesy managed to keep up with the kids!

And no, it's not bribery, I didn't mean it that way, but now that I know you can be influenced... ;) Thanks for your comments, it's very kind of you; and I enjoy your creations very much as well.
Haha, I can be a bit dense sometimes, if you keep pestering me enough I'll eventually wake up! Your work needs lots more recognition, its fantastic.
Okay, so maybe you did put more effort into this than drinking a bottle of wine while on a night out, so I'll direct my comments and smileys this way. I really did enjoy this when it came out in the Olympics, and the disco ball made me smile since I've also used that piece in that capacity before.
Quoting Matthew Novosad
we are adopting an orange cat called Saturday. He is about two years old, and is going to be a good companion to our dog who has really been depressed since our cat Tabitha died.
Saturday, what a unique name! Oh, poor doggy, I hope he and Saturday get along. I have two cats, I know they would greatly miss the other if one were to die. All the best for introducing the new cat into your home :)
LOL! Roller disco. CLASSIC! The minifig placement and hoe you animated them really makes it beautiful. BTW I am getting a new cat tomorrow. Our cat that was 18 died last year, and we are adopting an orange cat called Saturday. He is about two years old, and is going to be a good companion to our dog who has really been depressed since our cat Tabitha died.
Even if you didn't have the beautiful build around it, the way you animated the minifigs and infused them with such character made this one a sure winner. Please embed the song so future viewers can enjoy this fully (you have my permission as a judge to do so once all the judges have rated this). I award 5 points to this superior creation.
Quoting Mister Bones
OK folks, look closely at the last shot, the one of Mark. Leda's reflection is in the helmet! MWA-HA-HA-HA. And Flare, she is not an Aussie.
OH NO!!! I didn't pick up on that! Oh but this breaks my no photos of me ever anywhere under no circumstances rule! Gosh darn it! Oh well... take a look boys, its the best you're gonna get. I can imagine by the end of today most of you will have that pic printed off and blown up large and placed in that dark room nobody knows about with lots of candles...
A-w-e-s-o-m-e!! What a great set! The rink, the lights, the disco ball and those skates! Truely awesome. This should get full marks from the judges. You are the best me Kiwi pal.....and I am not THAT old!!!
I believe you have knocked my socks right off. This is sooooo hilarious and well done. I always knew that Bones was a little light in the roller skates. Great job, my lady, you are really showing your team how it's done!~H
Wonderful idea (you had me at "DISCO!").Though it's true that if you have any doubt about full marks, it means it's not full marks, I WANT to give this a 5. It's just too awesome. Love pretty much all, from the skates to the lights to the disco ball. The tiling screams '70s and the roof is on fire! (though the time frame isn't perfect, I couldn't resist that joke)
